Hello, we’re Doris and Herbert, and for over 10 years we’ve been lovingly running a small horse farm for older or injured sport horses. Here on our farm, we also offer a few parking spaces and tent sites on grass or gravel. Restroom facilities, an outdoor kitchen, a small playground, a barbecue area, and a sauna are available. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling, mountain biking, hiking, or motorcycling. The annual deer rut takes place starting in mid-September. During this time, you can often hear—and sometimes even see—the impressive behavior of the stags.

The price per site includes accommodation for 2 people. However, additional guests are welcome.

Children under 10 stay free.

We look forward to welcoming you here.

Best regards,

Doris and Herbert

  • The campground owner was very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and beautiful. It's very welcoming. It was exactly as described in the listing. I'll definitely be back!

  • We had a wonderful time at Herbert and Doris’s little campground and can wholeheartedly recommend it! As soon as you arrive, you immediately notice how much love and passion the two of them put into running their campground. Everything is incredibly thoughtfully designed and planned down to the smallest detail. You feel welcome from the very first moment. We especially loved the little farm store. Especially if—like us—you’re visiting for the first time and may have forgotten a few small items, you’ll find everything you need there: drinks, food, and lots of useful things. It’s simply a great service and shows just how much Herbert and Doris care about their guests. The location is perfect, too. There are plenty of beautiful places to explore and leisure activities in the area, so there’s something for everyone. But what really makes this campground special are Herbert and Doris themselves. You can tell at every moment just how much passion, warmth, and love they put into running this place. That’s exactly what creates such an incredibly pleasant atmosphere. There was also a great sense of camaraderie among the campers—everyone was friendly, relaxed, and open. You just feel completely at ease. Thank you so much for this wonderful time! We’ll definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this special campground to everyone.

  • We (my wife and two young children, ages 7 and 2) were staying with Herbert and Doris on a very spontaneous visit and had actually only planned to stay for one night. As soon as we arrived, Herbert warmly greeted us at the entrance and gave us a tour of the farm and the facilities. We felt welcome right away. Herbert and Doris truly lived up to the motto “like visiting friends.” The bathrooms were clean and stayed that way; the farm store was well-stocked and fairly priced; there was a huge grill available for our use; and the kids were kept busy around the clock (playground including a trampoline, dogs, hay, a fire pit, a small fish pond, tractors and Bobby Cars for the little ones, horses to visit, etc.). Doris even took the kids along to feed the horses. We ended up staying for two nights and would have stayed even longer if work hadn’t called us back. We’d love to come back. In the area, we can recommend the Barfuss- und Generationenpark in Schmidtheim for kids, which we discovered while picking up bread rolls. :)

  • Simple and friendly—everything was just right for me

  • We were given a very warm welcome, shown around, and then allowed to pick a spot. The spots are scattered all over the farm. You’ll find everything you need here. There are cozy nooks everywhere and a little shop with anything you might have forgotten. Doris and Herbert have made sure that you can feel completely at home here.
