Our small farm is situated in a secluded location in the beautiful Eifel. Here you can leave the stress of everyday life behind you and enjoy nature in peace. The special thing about our place are our lovely alpacas that can be observed near the paved pitch. If you wish, you can experience a hike with the alpacas by prior arrangement and booking. This is a great experience for young and old. In addition, there are countless activities in the Eifel: very close by is a wonderful Eifelblick, where you can relax on loungers with a great view. Several hiking and cycling trails lead right past the property. Mechernich is also known for its mining history. A visit to the Mechernich Mining Museum or a tour of the relics will give you an insight into ore mining. The Eifel National Park is in the immediate vicinity. And much more....!

An alpaca campsite just the way you’d want it. Right next to the herd. Birgit, her husband, and son (whom we got to know) are warm hosts, friendly people, and experts on their herd. We were allowed to watch the evening feeding and even feed the animals ourselves. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and experience for us. Thank you so much, Birgit and family. We even crossed paths with squirrels and cats. The campsite was simple but fine. Quiet and located right next to the house. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return here. We wish all future guests and the host family much joy. Keep up the good work :-)
Birgit and her husband gave us a very warm welcome. The campsite next to the alpacas is very beautiful and quiet, and it’s very relaxing to watch the herd. We were even allowed to help feed them. We’d love to come back.
It was a wonderful evening and a great, sunny morning spent with the alpacas—I even got to help feed them. It was really a lot of fun. Birgit and her husband are nice and very laid-back hosts!
Highly recommended—we felt completely at home! We decided on a whim to get out of Cologne for one night and didn’t reach out until around 3 p.m. We got a response super fast, and everything went off without a hitch. Birgit and her husband were very warm and friendly. The spot and the entire property are beautiful, very well-maintained, and lovingly cared for. A special highlight, of course, were the cute alpacas, which we got to watch at length. In the evening, we had a stunning starry sky and even saw shooting stars. Despite a rainy evening, we had a wonderful start to the day the next morning and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. We’ll definitely be back and can 100% recommend this special place!

A truly lovely place and a wonderful host. I'd love to come back 🙂. Unfortunately, I had to leave early because of a water leak in my RV; otherwise, I would have been able to help feed the cute alpacas.
