Welcome to the Mühlenhof!

My former mill is located in an idyllic, secluded spot in the well-known resort town of Drolshagen.

Suitable for campers up to 6.00 m in length, mini-trailers, roof tents, and tents.

Camping Spot:

The spot measures approximately 6.45 m x 3.50 m. The surface is made of eco-friendly pavers; there is an adjacent living area, and the spot is located next to the house with a view of the meadow and the beautiful Bracht Valley. Private terrace and mini-kitchen in the farmhouse cupboard next to the site.

Maneuvering skills are required.

Trailers: Only mini-trailers are permitted! You may need to unhitch it and push it into place.

Discover our enchanted garden...

Cabin:

A cozy cabin (shared space) with dishes, a wood-burning stove, and a terrace is also available for guests to use as they wish. A small electric grill, tabletop grill, and fire pit are available. The fire pit may only be used at the cabin, except during dry weather. The cabin also contains a small first-aid kit.

In the charming outdoor bathroom with a composting toilet, you can also take a shower in a red wine barrel.

Note:

Minimum age for guests: 7 years.

The grounds are not child-proof.

Drolshagen and the Surrounding Area:

The Drolshagen region is part of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park, a quiet and densely forested low-mountain landscape. Numerous trails lead along babbling streams through lovely meadows up to the beautiful highlands. A breathtaking view over vast valleys and mountains. Fresh air, birdsong in summer, or the silence of the winter landscape captivate the senses and make the Drolshagen region unforgettable.

The Drolshagen region has much to offer hikers and cyclists. About 140 km of well-signposted and marked hiking trails open up a diverse area.

The Panoramerhütte log cabin, which offers refreshments, is a lovely destination for a day trip.

Lake Bigge, with its many activities, is located about 4.5 km from us. A bike path leads directly there from our village, partly along old railroad tracks.

To reach the hiking trails, you’ll need to walk about 500 m back to the village along the country road.

Other information:

You can also book a vacation rental with us. Animals on the property. The meadow below the Mühlenhof is used for farming.

At the Eichener Mühle bakery, you can get baked goods from an artisan baker—a treat for all the senses! It’s about 1.4 km away and easily accessible via the bike path. The bakery van arrives on Saturdays around 10:15 a.m.

Camping on our property is at your own risk.

I look forward to seeing you!

It was truly wonderful 🤩 Everything your heart could desire! Highlight: A rustic bathroom and a cozy cabin with a cooler (beer/wine, etc.), a coffee maker, board games, a guestbook, and all sorts of little extras in case you forgot to pack something 👍🏻 It was a real shame that we weren’t allowed to go out onto the big meadow. That would have been absolute paradise for our dog 😉

We spent two wonderful days here at Biggesee. Steffi has put her heart and soul into creating a small, unique camper’s paradise here, and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. Anyone who enjoys camping close to nature and without the hassle will feel right at home here. Instead of a traditional, comfortable campground, you’ll find a lovingly designed spot with creative touches like an outdoor shower, a composting toilet, a cozy communal terrace, and an absolutely adorable little farm shop where you can find everything from coffee to toothbrushes—anything you might have forgotten—at totally fair prices. We also especially loved the surroundings, with the great bike paths and scenic trails around Lake Bigge.

Such a warm welcome, and a wonderful campsite that was clearly set up with a lot of care! As a bonus, they offered to lend us a bike. We’ll definitely be back when the weather’s a bit warmer so we can enjoy the lovely terrace more!
