To the dreamlike view

From our meadow, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of valleys, forests, and meadows stretching westward all the way to the Siebengebirge. In the evening, everything is crowned by beautiful sunsets.

Located right on the border between North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, our meadow lies next to a small grove. A hiking trail runs right in front of the meadow, connecting you directly to the hiking area. Here, you can also go on beautiful and extensive bike rides. On hot days, you can cool off at the nearby fire pond.

For our younger guests, there’s a swing set with a climbing frame and a slide to let off steam. The swing can also be repurposed as a hammock to enjoy the sunset.

Nearby, you can explore Freudenberg’s historic old town or visit Crottorf Water Castle, where you’ll find a beautiful castle garden and works of art to admire.

The meadow is directly accessible via a small paved path; there are no height restrictions, and standard ground clearance should be sufficient.

The grass in the area of the parking spot has been mowed; please do not drive on or walk through the rest of the meadow out of consideration for the bees and cows.

There are no restroom facilities or trash disposal. Gray water can be disposed of at a designated station in the neighboring town. Please take everything with you to help protect nature.
