Welcome to the Mühlenhof!
My former mill is located in an idyllic, secluded spot in the renowned resort town of Drolshagen, near Biggesee.
Here, I’d like to offer you a simple campsite along the trail, complete with a cabin and a campsite in the Enchanted Garden.
There are two different options here:
Camp in a tent in the Enchanted Garden, or spend the night in a camper or roof tent along the trail and use the campsite in the Enchanted Garden as a place to sit and enjoy the beautiful view.
Camping spot along the trail:
The spot is only suitable for VW Buses, camper vans, panel vans up to 5 m, roof tents (hard-shell and hybrid), and mini-trailers. It’s located directly along the trail on a gravel surface, with a road above the trail. The spot is sloped and not level.
View of the forest.
Camp in the Zaubergarten:
A campsite behind the Zaubergarten. Here you can pitch your tent or simply enjoy the great view. You cannot drive your car to the site; it must be parked along the trail.
It gets rather cool at night. Camping is currently only possible in relatively dry weather. A wooden platform is still under construction.
Trailers: Only mini-trailers are allowed! You may need to back the trailer up to turn around. Maneuvering skills required.
Cabin:
A cozy cabin (shared space) with dishes, a wood-burning stove, and a terrace is also available for everyone to use. A small electric grill, tabletop grill, and fire pit are provided. The fire pit may only be used at the cabin unless the weather is dry. The cabin also contains a small emergency supply kit.
In the charming outdoor bathroom with a composting toilet, you can also take a shower in a red wine barrel.
Sink:
Covered sink; a washing basin is provided. No hot water.
Note:
Minimum age for guests: 7 years.
The grounds are not child-proof.
Drolshagen and the surrounding area:
The Drolshagen region is part of the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park, a quiet and densely forested low-mountain landscape. Numerous trails lead along babbling streams through lovely meadows up to the beautiful highlands. A breathtaking view over vast valleys and mountains. Fresh air, birdsong in summer, or the silence of the winter landscape captivate the senses and make the Drolshagen region unforgettable.
The Drolshagener Land has much to offer hikers and cyclists. About 140 km of well-signposted and marked hiking trails open up a diverse area.
Lake Bigge, with its many activities, is located about 4.5 km from us. A bike path leads directly there from our village, partly following old railroad tracks.
To reach the hiking trails, you’ll need to walk about 500 m back to the village along the country road.
The Panoramerhütte log cabin, which offers refreshments, is a lovely destination for an outing.
Other Information:
You can also book a vacation rental with us. Animals on the property. The meadow below the Mühlenhof is used for farming.
At the Eichener Mühle bakery, you can get baked goods from an artisan baker—a treat for all the senses! It’s about 1.4 km away and easily accessible via the bike path. The bakery van arrives on Saturdays around 10:15 a.m.
Camping on our property is at your own risk.
I look forward to seeing you!

My son and I had two wonderful days staying with Steffi. The small shared cabin and the bathroom were decorated with such attention to detail—very rustic. We also got some tips for day trips and were able to rent bicycles. Steffi was always there for us :-)
We really, really liked the place. So much attention to detail has been paid here. Especially the shower and the "mountain pine" put a smile on our faces! Thank you for the lovely stay and the warm welcome, we'll be back!
The pitch and amenities are good. Price for electricity fair, but too high for dogs. Communication can still be worked on. OK for one night.
