  The hosts were super friendly and easy to deal with. We were offered several spots to set up our tent. Toilets, a place to wash dishes, a freezer, and a refrigerator are available, as well as a coffee maker, a kettle, and a mini-kiosk (chips, peanuts, various types of beer). Simple but adequate facilities. Wonderfully quiet location on the outskirts of town, just a few minutes from Esens and the North Sea (insider tip: Ostbense for a quick swim, free parking, and beach access). The only drawback is the outdoor shower, which does provide hot water but doesn’t offer enough privacy for women. Overall, a wonderful stay—thank you so very much!!

  Everything was great, except that you have to shower outside, which we didn't do when it was 10 degrees. Otherwise, everything was great—dogs can run around and you can enjoy the peace and quiet....

  Volker is a friendly, uncomplicated and very helpful host. The pitches are quietly located on the outskirts of the village and everything you need is there. Perfect for a stopover or a few days' rest.

  Volker's reception was uncomplicated and warm. We immediately felt welcome, enjoyed the peace and quiet and the (warm) outdoor shower. There was another tent on the meadow and guests in two caravans, but we hardly noticed anything. In the end, we spontaneously stayed twice as long instead of the two nights we had originally booked, which was no problem at all.
