Cozy Fishing Cabin with Rowboat in Norway

Would you like to travel back to the "old days," close to nature, the water, and great fishing spots? In this beautifully modernized, low-ceilinged cabin, you can experience how our ancestors spent their workdays—far from home—whether as lumberjacks in the forest or as carpenters. Evenings were typically spent in simple, low-ceilinged cabins—a single room where everyone found a place. The cabin is furnished with a family bunk bed (sleeping 2–3 people) and a sofa that converts into a bed for 2.

The kitchen is equipped with basic essentials and a gas burner for cooking.

There is a wood-burning stove for heating. Firewood can be purchased at the cabin; payment can be made in cash or via the Vipps mobile app.

A small rowboat is available for use (please remember to bring your own life jacket!).

There is a biological composting toilet located outside the cabin.

A fishing permit is included in the rental at no extra cost.

One dog is permitted, but please be mindful of leash requirements—there are many sheep in the area.

It is approximately 15 minutes to the nearest ski resort. Åseral Municipality has a total of three ski resorts (including Eikerapen and Ljosland). There are also miles upon miles of cross-country ski trails in Åseral.
