Small, simple, one-room farm cabin for rent. Located in a quiet, rural setting with views of the mountains and sheep grazing in the fields.

Includes electricity and heating. Furnished with a 140 cm double bed, a sofa bed, and a table with a couple of stools. Simply furnished, yet cozy.

Outside the cabin, there is a *lavvo* (tipi) equipped with a fire pit and essential kitchen gear for cooking. Amenities include a coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave, and gas-powered stovetop. Drinking water and utility water are provided free of charge, and we take care of the dishwashing using a dishwasher.

It is a lovely experience to sit inside the *lavvo*, light the fire pit, grill some food, and enjoy the warmth of the fire.

Please bring your own firewood; it is also available for purchase from us.

A hot tub and a barrel sauna are available to rent for an additional fee. During the winter, these are located on the farm premises. From May 1st to November 1st, they are moved to our nature campsite by the river—about 500 meters from the cabin—where they must be used.

There is no shower; however, the barrel sauna features a water tank that heats up when the wood-burning stove is lit. You can wash yourself inside the sauna by mixing the hot and cold water and pouring it over yourself.

The toilet is a biological/composting toilet (waterless).

Dogs are welcome, but they are not permitted on the bed or sofa.

Dogs must be kept on a leash on the farm due to the presence of sheep.

From May 1st to November 1st, a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment is available in the *lavvo*. You may borrow a rowboat free of charge on the nearby lake, Lognavatn (7 km from the cabin). Please bring your own life jackets.

You will need to purchase your own fishing permits.

Wood-fired hot tub (3 hours):

Price: 550 – 750 NOK.

The tub is filled with fresh water for each use. It takes 1–2 hours to heat up. Please book the hot tub at least one day in advance.

Weather conditions: The temperature must be warmer than -7°C.

Wood-fired barrel sauna (2 hours):

Price: 250 – 350 NOK.

The stove heats water, allowing you to wash yourself inside the sauna.

Available for use year-round.

NOTE: From approximately May 1st to November 15th, the hot tub and sauna are moved to our nature camp, located about 500 meters from the farm; they must be used at that location.

☆ It is best to book the sauna and hot tub 1–2 days in advance, though you are welcome to check with the host for availability on shorter notice.

☆ A rental period of at least 5 days includes one complimentary sauna session. ☆

This is a working farm with sheep. The cabin is located near our own home. Vehicles may drive back and forth, sheep roam nearby, and a tractor might pass by occasionally. Our children may be playing outside, and we might have visitors.

At the same time, there are quieter moments, and the surroundings are rural and peaceful.

The other cabin on the farmstead remains closed whenever this cabin is rented out.

It is not possible to charge electric vehicles.

- Guests must bring their own bed linen (or rent it from us).

- Guests are required to vacuum the cabin after use.

The municipality of Åseral offers beautiful scenery, numerous hiking and cross-country skiing trails, and three alpine ski centers. The nearest ski center, as well as cross-country and roller-skiing trails at Bortelid, are approximately a 15-minute drive away. There is a café and a shop in the area.

- Approx. 25 minutes to Evje Mineral Park, rafting, a climbing park, and shops.

- 25 minutes to the center of Åseral (Kyrkjebygda), featuring the Minne Cultural Center, a Coop store, and a gas station.

- 7 minutes to the nearest lake, where a rowboat is available.
