Super friendly hosts, great food, a quaint, rustic setting with that "lost place" charm—an authentically relaxed, imperfect atmosphere; that’s just how we like it. My two boys (12 & 6) found something to play with and explore in every nook and cranny, and there’s also a small playground right next door. Drinks and snacks can be purchased on a trust basis; hot meals can be ordered. Every day, Alexandra went around asking if anyone wanted bread rolls for the next morning. The only thing is that the photos in the listing make it seem like the meadow is in the middle of nowhere, but the road right next to it has very little traffic. Anyone expecting glamping here will be disappointed, but those who love nature and an authentic, wild atmosphere will find themselves in the right place. Thank you so much for sending the forgotten toiletries bag 😄 We’d love to come back.

Alex and her husband are very open, communicative, and helpful. That’s great. However, based on the description online and the photos shown, we had imagined something different. It would have been nice to have a place to wash dishes. Having heating in the duffel barn would be useful in bad weather. We had cold and wet weather; a walkway to the house with the restrooms would have been helpful. We couldn’t have gotten our small trailer out of the wet field on our own with our car. Thank you for your support and for letting us use the neighbor’s ATV. Best regards, Steffi and Hannes

  • We received a really nice welcome from the hosts and were given lots of tips on leisure activities during our stay. The atmosphere was super cozy. One small drawback is the adjacent road (if it bothers you). Next time we will enjoy the wonderful smelling food provided by the host.

Super nice, helpful hostess with cooking skills! Unfortunately we didn't try it ourselves because our old soup still had to be eaten, but our camper neighbors were very enthusiastic. Clean toilets, bread rolls made to order in the morning, funny bleating sheep...what more do you need for a successful break! We'll be back when we're in the area again!
