Our garden covers 4,000 square meters, bordered by mature trees and situated along a stream with a waterwheel. During the summer months, we have a small pool (4 x 2 m), garden furniture, umbrellas, and a small beer garden with food and drinks. Our new duffel barn is a brand-new addition where you can retreat on rainy days. Lake Bigge is just 8 minutes away.

  • Very friendly and helpful hosts who were also very kind in involving the children. The barn with its selection of beverages (even chilled ones) was extremely convenient. Currently, however, a detour runs right past the property, which significantly increases traffic noise in this otherwise quiet location. The restrooms are clean and well-equipped. A place to wash dishes would be helpful (just an idea). P.S.: Thanks for letting us borrow the wheelbarrow, and sorry about the watering can.

  • We received a warm welcome, and the relaxed atmosphere made for a pleasant stay. We bought some meat to grill ourselves and rolls for breakfast—both were delicious and reasonably priced. We’d love to come back!

  • It was a really lovely short getaway at Alexandra’s; she and her husband are warm and helpful hosts. A wonderful place to relax by the campfire; the farm stand offers cold drinks and barbecue supplies, and for breakfast we were treated to eggs and rolls. The kitchen and bathroom/shower facilities are shared with the other guests in the house, where there’s also another vacation rental. If you’re looking for an authentic, low-key break from city life and want to take a quick trip to Biggesee or Panoramapark, this is the perfect spot. We’d love to come back.

  • Super friendly hosts, great food, a quaint, rustic setting with that "lost place" charm—an authentically relaxed, imperfect atmosphere; that’s just how we like it. My two boys (12 & 6) found something to play with and explore in every nook and cranny, and there’s also a small playground right next door. Drinks and snacks can be purchased on a trust basis; hot meals can be ordered. Every day, Alexandra went around asking if anyone wanted bread rolls for the next morning. The only thing is that the photos in the listing make it seem like the meadow is in the middle of nowhere, but the road right next to it has very little traffic. Anyone expecting glamping here will be disappointed, but those who love nature and an authentic, wild atmosphere will find themselves in the right place. Thank you so much for sending the forgotten toiletries bag 😄 We’d love to come back.

  • Alex and her husband are very open, communicative, and helpful. That’s great. However, based on the description online and the photos shown, we had imagined something different. It would have been nice to have a place to wash dishes. Having heating in the duffel barn would be useful in bad weather. We had cold and wet weather; a walkway to the house with the restrooms would have been helpful. We couldn’t have gotten our small trailer out of the wet field on our own with our car. Thank you for your support and for letting us use the neighbor’s ATV. Best regards, Steffi and Hannes
