  Wine festival at the wine cellar last weekend in May 2026

  Visit our wine festival and enjoy our organic wine in and around the winery next to Saaleck Castle until the magical evening hours. Come and celebrate the wine festival with us. We invite you to enjoy the magical atmosphere at the castle and taste our delicious wines. Friday from 5 p.m. it starts with an electro music party in the colorfully illuminated wine cellar. An exciting experience that will delight music and wine lovers alike. On Saturday from 3 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m., the wine festival atmosphere ensures exuberant fun. Let yourself be seduced by the diverse aromas of our wines Of course, we also take care of your physical well-being: delicious food awaits you on all days - from farmer's sausages in bread or with potato salad especially from our favorite butcher, farm cheese from Untereschenbach, to vegan spreads. Enjoy our excellent organic wine, cocktails or other drinks of your choice.

  Wine Tasting / Hike / Cellar Tour 10/17/26

  We’ll start at Schloss Saaleck Castle and introduce you to the history of this oldest wine town. Then we’ll take a short walk through the historic vineyards, which are still completely surrounded by a vineyard wall. On the Saaleck Schlossberg, we’ll taste two wines right among the vines. You’ll learn all about what a winemaker does while working among the rows of vines. Afterward, we’ll head to the wooden barrel cellar, lit by candles. The rustic snack platters (sausage and cheese or vegetarian) taste especially good here! We’ll sample four more different wines accompanied by entertaining stories about wine. To lighten the mood, we’ll take a tour of the cellar and learn about all the work we winemakers do among the wine tanks. Enjoy a few wonderful hours with our Hammelburg organic wine in the vineyard and wine cellar!   Star Wine Hike August 14, 2026

  Together with Reiner Stein (star guide), we take a short walk across the field above Saaleck Castle. From here, we have an unobstructed view of the summer night sky. With a view of the Saale Valley, we learn interesting facts about the solar system and, once we reach the historic vineyard wall, we can spot the first “major” celestial bodies. We walk through the historic vineyards on the Saalecker Schlossberg to the historic vineyard house. We identify additional constellations. At the historic “Kavaliershäuschen,” we sit on small loungers on the terrace (set up by the winery in limited numbers) or on blankets we’ve brought along, and watch the shooting stars of St. Lawrence with a glass of wine in hand.   Stars.Solar Eclipse.Guided Tour 08/12/26

  Experience a special evening in the vineyards of our winery! Only on August 12, 2026 Together with a starguide, we’ll hike into the sunset—right into the natural spectacle of the solar eclipse. With a glass of organic wine straight from this vineyard, you’ll enjoy the fascinating view of the Saale Valley and the sky as it grows darker. In 2026, we’ll be able to observe a partial solar eclipse (80%) with special glasses. Discover the historic vineyards on the Saalecker Schlossberg from a whole new perspective. The experience continues to the idyllically situated vineyard house—the Kavaliershäuschen: Here, small “sun chairs” (set up by the winery in limited numbers) or blankets you bring along invite you to linger, and with a glass of wine in hand, we watch as the sky transforms into a sparkling starry cinema. ISO- and CE-certified solar eclipse glasses are included in the price.

  JAZZ Morning Beer at the Weinlaube

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can enjoy organic wine and delicious food. Relax to the jazz sounds of the band ElfenJazz, who will create a great atmosphere with their charm and enthusiasm. From classic jazz to jazz-pop Shuttle bus from the Weihertor parking lot (bus stop) to Schloss Saaleck Castle We’ve got you covered when it comes to food and drinks: look forward to delicious dishes, autumnal onion tarts, a Weißwurst breakfast, flour dumplings, and much more—along with fine organic wines, coffee, fresh waffles, and cake. Admission is free—the band would appreciate a donation in the music box. Whether with family, friends, or just relaxing with a good glass of wine—this Sunday invites you to enjoy fall to the fullest.
