Our large meadow (not graveled) is located on the eastern edge of the Southern Harz Mountains, in the heart of the Southern Harz Karst Landscape Biosphere Reserve. If you’ve never seen fire salamanders, carpets of wood anemones, fragrant wild garlic forests, or mystical gypsum caves, you should definitely stop by and stay with us.
Our family-run guesthouse (just outside the village, right in the middle of the forest) is directly adjacent to the over 8,000 m² meadow, so you’ll have plenty of space to yourselves.
We offer you plenty of warmth and hospitality, the diverse song of birds, the gentle murmur of a small stream, stargazing, a warming campfire, a tripod for soup over the fire, spots for barbecuing and hammocks, and insider tips—not just for hikes on the Karst Hiking Trail.
For an additional fee, you can also get a bread roll service, homemade jam (from Grandma Jutta), honey from the beekeeper living in the village, water, a shower, a toilet, and electricity from us.
We also offer a mobile sauna tent for an additional fee.
In our little village, there’s a butcher who also sells butter, pasta, and other items. In the neighboring towns, you’ll find various larger supermarkets.
Oh, and your furry friends are also very welcome here.

The campsite is a field next to a vacation home. When we arrived, we couldn't find anyone to check us in. After about 5 minutes, the owner's mother helped us get settled. - relaxed atmosphere - beautiful surroundings - one dry toilet for the field (we were glad we were the only ones there), and one at the vacation home - we were able to use the kitchen facilities - very clean - overpriced for what you get. Since we were on vacation ourselves for a few days, my mother spontaneously and warmly took over the check-in process—we’re glad it all worked out within 5 minutes. We calculate the prices for our sites and the amenities we offer transparently and fairly so that we can provide our guests with exactly this standard of service and maintain the site in top condition. A beautifully secluded, lovingly designed campsite. There’s plenty of space on the lawn. The restrooms were very clean. The outdoor kitchen and covered seating areas are great. My dog and I really enjoyed it, and we’d love to come back.
The whole place is full of love and little details that make you feel right at home. The well-equipped outdoor kitchen is an absolute highlight. The hosts are super nice and even had a little surprise for us on the day we left 😊 We’d love to come back when we’re in the area. 😃
