Our large meadow (not graveled) is located on the eastern edge of the Southern Harz Mountains, in the heart of the Southern Harz Karst Landscape Biosphere Reserve. If you’ve never seen fire salamanders, carpets of wood anemones, fragrant wild garlic forests, or mystical gypsum caves, you should definitely stop by and stay with us.
Our family-run guesthouse (just outside the village, right in the middle of the forest) is directly adjacent to the over 8,000 m² meadow, so you’ll have plenty of space to yourselves.
We offer you plenty of warmth and hospitality, the diverse song of birds, the gentle murmur of a small stream, stargazing, a warming campfire, a tripod for soup over the fire, spots for barbecuing and hammocks, and insider tips—not just for hikes on the Karst Hiking Trail.
For an additional fee, you can also get a bread roll service, homemade jam (from Grandma Jutta), honey from the beekeeper living in the village, water, a shower, a toilet, and electricity from us.
We also offer a mobile sauna tent for an additional fee.
In our little village, there’s a butcher who also sells butter, pasta, and other items. In the neighboring towns, you’ll find various larger supermarkets.
Oh, and your furry friends are also very welcome here.

Our stay was great, and we really enjoyed it. The campsite was spacious, and we were able to choose our own spot. The restrooms and showers were clean, and the outdoor kitchen was well-equipped. A beautiful place with lots of animals nearby. We saw deer and birds of prey, and even had a wild boar stop by at night. The owners are very hospitable and provided us with an extra extension cord since ours was too short. The fields are next to a large vacation home, and you’re welcome to use its facilities. Highly recommended!
We felt very comfortable staying with Netty and Ralfi. They are very kind and helpful hosts. In the morning, you can get fresh rolls. Their grandmother made waffles for us. It’s a beautiful, spacious property right next to the forest. It’s a wonderful place to go hiking. We enjoyed our time there and will definitely go back. Thank you, Netty and Ralfi
We’ll definitely be back. It was totally hassle-free, and we had the entire campground to ourselves (almost) the whole week. Jeanette and Ralph gave us a very warm welcome, and we knew right away that we were in the right place. The campsite meadow is a dream: spacious, with various designated seating and grilling areas, an outdoor kitchen, and absolutely quiet—even our dog enjoyed the stay. We gladly took advantage of the bread roll delivery service. The restroom facilities are very clean and lovingly maintained (the toilet and shower are available for shared use)—it doesn’t get any better than this! We’ll be back—whether on our own or with family and friends.
