Approx. 1 km from town in a secluded location. On clear days, it’s worth setting your alarm for a spectacular sunrise.

The Harz and Kyffhäuser regions offer many opportunities for excursions and activities.

The region is a dream for mountain bike enthusiasts!

Recommended destinations include:

the Kyffhäuser Monument, a hike to the mineral spring and the Auleben burial mound field, the Bismarck Tower in Auleben (about 500 meters on foot from the campsite), the Uthleben flea market and antique barn, the IFA Technology Museum in Nordhausen, the Sondershausen visitor and adventure mine, Café Kaffeemühle in Hamma, a steam train ride through the Harz Mountains on the historic Harz narrow-gauge railway, Wernigerode Castle and Aviation Museum, the Harz Bode Valley, the Bielener and Sundhäuser gravel lakes (Sundhäuser See is considered one of Germany’s best diving spots), a tasting and tour at the traditional Nordhausen distillery, Falkenstein Castle, hike up the Brocken, the historic town of Stolberg/Harz and the town of Quedlinburg, Barbarossa Cave in Rottleben and Heimkehle Karst Cave, action at "Harzdrenalin," and for families, the Hexentanzplatz + the cable car adventure world in Thale and the Harz Witch’s Realm in Rothesütte.

In spring and fall, you can observe the impressive crane migration at the reservoir.

In town, there is a pizzeria, a snack bar, a bakery (traditional artisanal business), fresh fish from the Auleben fish farm, and you are welcome to sign up for a wine tasting (Auleben elderberry wine).

Fire pit, covered seating area, and restroom (dry toilet with wood chips) available.

!!!Campfires are permitted only after consultation and exclusively at the designated fire pit!!!!
