Great communication before and during our stay, a well-equipped place with a magnificent view. Getting there in our 4×4 Sprinter wasn't a problem, even in the rain.
Peace and quiet and pure nature—it doesn't get any better than this. We'd love to come back :)
We had a really wonderful stay. The hosts are very friendly, and the place is beautiful. Surrounded by woods and fields, you can enjoy nature and just unwind. We’d love to come back. Best regards
A really beautiful campsite with an amazing view. We had the place all to ourselves! The booking went smoothly! As mentioned in other reviews, I don't think a "standard" RV would fit here :-)
The place is mega beautiful. It also has a very interesting history that I didn't even know about before. There are several shelters, the largest of which allowed us to enjoy many hours despite the bad weather. We will definitely be back!
The booking and communication was easy and very friendly. The site is exactly what you would expect from "Hinterland Camping". Seclusion, peace and quiet and a bit of adventure. We were there in early October and had one dry and sunny day and one completely rainy gray day. On the second day, our van couldn't make it up the mountain despite off-road tires and we unfortunately had to change our plans spontaneously. When the weather was dry, however, access was no problem and we were able to spend a wonderful evening at this great place. Thank you very much and we would love to come again!

What a beautiful spot on earth. We were alone on the pitch and were able to choose the most beautiful spot for the camper. We felt very, very comfortable. We were able to contact Isabel at any time. We will definitely be back.
A mega spot in an absolutely secluded location, highly recommended! However, not recommended with a normal camper. Access/approach steep and impassable in places. We arrived with our Amarok and camper, absolutely no problem. Thanks again to Uwe and the nice excursion, simply great.
Isabel gave us all the important information about how to get to the campsite in advance. The place is simply wonderful. The view is amazing. We also really liked the fire pit. However, due to the dry weather, we decided not to have a campfire. The path really is an adventure. Due to the persistent dryness, the surface was very slippery. However, our Bertha (Ford Transit) still made it with some effort. We will definitely come back here again.

We stayed one night with our boys and our dog. It was simply fantastic and we will definitely be back. The view is magnificent. A secluded paradise with everything you need for a peaceful stay. Isabel was also very nice to deal with. Would have liked to give more stars than just 5 :-) See you soon.
This is the most beautiful backcountry location we have ever booked!!! Absolute peace and seclusion, large grounds with bar cabins and a covered stage, fire pit, hiking opportunities and a very, very friendly hostess!!!! 6 out of 5 points!

The booking was short notice and uncomplicated with super friendly communication. The place was even nicer than in the pictures and very secluded in nature. The toilet was great and didn't smell. We would (and will) come back at any time. A little tip: check the opening times of the lake beforehand.
Beautiful place on a hill above the lake, in the middle of the fields. The drive across the fields in the VW T5 was easy. Simply wonderful.

Very dedicated welcome and warm introduction. Lovingly designed place between fields and meadows, this place is simply magical to be brave alone, to relax, to switch off from everyday life. To be in nature and to be able to live life. If you need peace and quiet, this is the place for you!
Exceptional location 👍 - steep drive-in for appropriate vehicles (with us with Caddy) 😁 on a large area with open huts, absolutely secluded location outside, fire pit, great view. 😎 This beautiful natural idyll 🌳🌲 is simply fabulous! 😃 Isabel is very friendly and a helpful hostess with lots of good tips from the surrounding area. 😊 Thank you very much and we are happy to say "See you again!" 🏕️ in the southern Harz. 🏞️
The site is beautifully situated, very secluded and quiet. The view is spectacular. An absolute recommendation.
I "celebrated" my birthday here with friends. We set up camp together on the large meadow and had a fantastic time there! We will definitely be back. Communication with the owner was super straightforward and quick.
It was a great few days in the middle of nature. Great individual location. It was a pleasure that will definitely be repeated. Four-wheel drive was definitely necessary, that's no exaggeration 😀Contact with Isabel was also relaxed 👍🏻

We experienced our first time camping with our bus incl. awning and 2 dogs at Isabel's and are thrilled. A fantastic spot, quiet, pure nature, with a great view of the lake. There is plenty of seating, a fire pit and a covered terrace, and the use of the dry toilet is a bonus. The access road is really only suitable for "robust" vehicles, as described. The hostess is very nice and responds directly. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back.
Isabel is a great host who always responds quickly and gives good tips. The place is very nice and has a great view.
This spot is an absolute must for nature lovers who want a fantastic view, the view of the Kelbra dam is really beautiful. The ascent and descent to the spot is a real adventure and a lot of fun, our Knut (campervan) did a great job. Here you definitely have a lot of peace, nature and beautiful moments around the campfire. We will definitely come back here again. Best regards Sascha, Anika and Felix

The spot is really nicely secluded and you have peace and quiet here. There are also several places to shelter in the rain. The toilet is also very clean. For nature lovers like us, it's just the right spot with a beautiful view. The access road is adventurous but it's great fun. We would come back here again and again. A fantastically beautiful place in the south of the Harz Mountains. We will definitely be back. The communication with the hostess was also very uncomplicated and pleasant.
We stayed four nights with Isabel and Thomas at their beautiful, secluded place with a fantastic view. Both are super friendly, courteous and helpful. We had originally booked three nights and then spontaneously extended for another. Even the journey there feels like a little adventure: You drive through a stream (cobblestones underneath, not deep) and plunge into the green thicket. Passing a few houses, sheep and wide fields full of corn and wildflowers, you finally turn off for the last few meters to the property. We parked above and had a wonderful, unobstructed view of the property and the lake in the distance. There is a large, cozy seating area around the campfire and a nice table with benches next to it. There are also two possible tent pitches here. A little further down is the composting toilet, which has everything you need for a few days. A little further down is a hut with a shelter, where there is also a table and chairs. This site is in the shade; we didn't use it as we had everything we needed upstairs. If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet, don't want any uninvited guests and enjoy being in the middle of nature, this is the place for you. You can also go on beautiful short or long hikes from here. There are several supermarkets in the surrounding villages, a small corner store in Heringen (somewhat hidden near the town hall) and various restaurants. We can also highly recommend the fish farm in Auleben.
An impressive place that really offers a lot to explore. Isabel was very friendly and quick to respond. We really liked it here. (The drive up is quite exciting in the rain, but everything went well)
