An exceptional, secluded spot on the edge of the Harz Mountains, surrounded by fields and forest with a view of the Brocken.

Several spacious covered seating areas and a fire pit are available. Above the site, there is a wonderful view of the city of Nordhausen.

Nearby swimming lakes (see photo—a 5-minute drive away) with excellent water quality. The adjacent Harz Mountains and Kyffhäuser region offer many opportunities for excursions and activities.

Recommended destinations in the region include:

Sondershausen Visitor and Adventure Mine, the Kyffhäuser Monument, IFA Technology Museum in Nordhausen, Oldisleben Sugar Factory Cultural Heritage Site, Uthleben Flea Market and Antique Barn, steam train ride through the Harz Mountains on the historic Harz narrow-gauge railway, Wernigerode Castle and Aviation Museum, tour and tasting at the traditional Nordhausen distillery, Roßtrappe in the Bode Valley, hike up the Brocken, the Bielener and Sundhäuser gravel lakes, the historic town of Stolberg/Harz and the town of Quedlinburg, Barbarossa Cave in Rottleben and Heimkehle Karst Cave, action at "Harzdrenalin," and for families, the Hexentanzplatz and the cable car adventure world in Thale.
