Am Mühlturm in Münsterland (single pitch, sauna)

Welcome to our small cottage in Drensteinfurt!

You can camp here with up to 6 people, children and dogs are very welcome.

You can enjoy our garden to yourselves (single pitch). You have a new, large, private bathroom with shower 🚿 . And if you like, you can sweat in our barrel sauna.

For your children (if you have children) there is a swing and a small sandpit with toys.

And if you feel like it, you can sit by the fire bowl in the evening.

You can camp under fruit trees 🌳 🍎 or on our meadow with a view of our mill tower.

It's idyllic here: there's a meadow orchard 🌳 🌳 🌳 🌳, a vegetable garden 🌶 🍆 , our three goats 🐐 🐐 🐐 Odiloh, Azrael and Lavender and Katinka the cat.

The smell of fresh hay accompanies you in summer.

The highlight is the view of our listed mill tower and the sunsets from there - preferably with a crackling campfire 🔥.

Depending on the season, you can snack on tree and shrub fruit from our orchards: Apples, pears, cherries, plums, blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, currants ...

Our principle: we don't like fixed rules and structures. You don't HAVE to do much, you CAN do a lot here. Please respect our community and everything you find here. If there is something you would like to be different, please talk to us - we do the same. FEEL FREE here in our little garden ＜3

The price quoted is for two people including 4 KwH of electricity from the shore power plug per night. No one has ever used more electricity, but if they do, we will pass on the additional costs.

From the 3rd person onwards, each adult costs an additional 10 euros and each child under 14 years 7 euros per night. Children under 4 years of age cost nothing.

Dogs: We have a cat that likes to run through your garden. Therefore, you can only bring your dog if you can live with the fact that it is always on a leash on our property. Please let us know if you would like to bring your four-legged friend(s) with you.

Several beautiful cycling and hiking routes run alongside our mill - either directly into the industrial heritage or into the natural surroundings of the Münsterland. The start of the Werseradweg cycle path is very close by. You can also join the 100 Castles Route from here.

You will also find bathing and hiking lakes in the surrounding area (20-35 km).

Forests can be reached by bike.

Canoe and kayak trips on the Werde or Lippe rivers are offered in the surrounding area (35 km).

By car or train, you can quickly reach Münster, Dortmund, Hamm or visit small, typical Münsterland towns. In my opinion, Münster in particular is worth a day trip. And Holland is not far away either. And of course the Ruhr region with its industrial culture.

If you are looking for day trip destinations for your children, here are a few tips: Münster has a wonderful all-weather zoo, a planetarium, the mill museum and the Aasee lake, where you can go pedal boating. In Hamm there is the Maxipark.

Swimming pool, great sauna, indoor pool 10 km away - beautiful cycle path

Shopping facilities (groceries) 1 km away. Shopping streets in Drensteinfurt, Ahlen and Hamm in 10 km distance (beautiful cycle paths there).

You will find numerous opportunities for regional and Mediterranean food in Ahlen, Münster and Hamm.

We look forward to your visit! There are two things here: on the one hand the peace and quiet of country life, on the other hand the NOISE of country life: we have a small tractor that helps us with the work, we also mow the lawn sometimes, our rooster crows when he wants, the owls are nocturnal, and during the day you can hear the kestrels that circle over our cottage from time to time. From time to time, we also flit through the picture and work on something - but don't let that get to you :).

Our mill is not located in the real "hinterland" without any civilization noises. However, most of the street noises are filtered out by the farm buildings and the cultivated fields (if they are cultivated) that lie between "your" garden and the road that runs about 100 meters in front of our farm.
