Dear campers, from April to September please book at least 2 nights at the weekend - thank you!

Welcome to our small cottage in Drensteinfurt! You can camp here with up to 8 people, children & dogs are very welcome.

🌞 You enjoy our garden for yourselves (single pitch)

🌞 You camp under fruit trees or on our meadow with a view of our mill tower.

🌞 You have your own bathroom with toilet and shower

🌞 You can store your bikes or whatever you want in our barn.

🌞 You can use our barrel sauna and the rain shower under the lime tree.

🌞 You can also borrow the fire bowl or a barbecue.

🌞 We have provided a fridge with various drinks (water, Spezi, beer, wine) for our guests. You can also get eggs from happy chickens there, as well as pear and apple juice in 5-liter packs.

🌞 There is a swing and a small sandpit with toys for children.

🌞 Arrival from 2 pm, departure by 1 pm. If no one is there before/after, arrival and departure is possible individually.

Fruit trees of old, dying varieties have been living on the orchard for 80-100 years. As part of the NABU orchard meadow project, we have planted many new old trees to sustainably protect old fruit varieties from extinction. The trees bear fruit, which you are welcome to help yourself to. You will also find plenty of soft fruit.

The mill tower is always a highlight. It was built at the end of 1800 and lost its wings early on due to a fire. The mill was then powered by a combined heat and power plant until it ceased operation. Today, the tower is a monument and is home to kestrels, owls and corvids. In spring and summer, kestrels breed there and raise their young. You can observe this beautifully. At night, you can often hear the call of our owls. There are also lots of hares and pheasants here, and every now and then, albeit rarely, you will see a deer. 🐕 Pets are very welcome here. If you have animals on board, you accept the following agreements with your booking:

- Please inform us in advance that animals are on board.

- Please secure the animals on our property at all times.

- Guests who nevertheless allow their animals to run free must leave the site immediately. Costs will not be refunded in this case.

PRICES

🔅48 euros per night for one to two people and one vehicle

- including bathroom with shower

- including 4 kWh electricity

🔅Additional persons:

- Each additional adult (from 16 years) costs 10 euros

- Children from 4 years cost 7 euros

- Prices for additional vehicles by arrangement

🔅Sauna: 22 euros for 2.5 hours for one to two people. More people by arrangement

🔅Fire bowl or barbecue is free of charge. Wood: 5 euros or bring your own, as well as barbecue charcoal

ACTIVITIES/ENVIRONMENT

I have put together a small booklet with things to see and experience that I will send you when you book and that you can use for inspiration.

🌞 A large grocery store with a bakery, two restaurants, a snack bar, the post office and doctors are all within walking distance.

🌞 Several beautiful cycling and hiking routes run alongside our mill - either directly into the industrial culture or into the nature of the Münsterland. The start of the Werseradweg cycle path is very close by. You can also join the 100 Castles Route from here.

🌞 By car or train, you can quickly reach Münster, Dortmund and Hamm or visit small, typical Münsterland towns. Münster in particular, with its weekly market, is worth a day trip, as is the Ruhr region with its industrial culture.

🌞 Day trip destinations: Münster -> all-weather zoo, planetarium, mill museum, Aasee lake (pedal boat, round trip), weekly market, historic old town, lots of culture. Hamm -> Maxipark, Maximare

🌞 Swimming pool, great sauna, indoor pool 10 km away - beautiful cycle path

🌞 You'll find numerous regional and Mediterranean dining options in Ahlen, Münster and Hamm.

🌞 You can also find swimming and hiking lakes in the surrounding area (20-35 km).

Canoe and kayak trips on the Werse or Lippe rivers are available in the surrounding area (35 km).

We look forward to your visit! There are two things here: the peace and quiet of country life on the one hand, and the sounds of country life on the other. Our mill is not located in the real "hinterland" without any sounds of civilization. However, most of the street noises are filtered out by the farm buildings and the cultivated fields (if they are cultivated) that lie between "your" garden and the street.
