Welcome to our little cottage in Drensteinfurt! You’ll be camping in our orchard on the south side of the farm, with space for up to 8 people—children and dogs are welcome.

The Orchard Meadow – Location & Character 🌳🍎🍏: You’ll have a view of our old mill tower and the hay meadow; nearby, there’s a barrel sauna and a rain shower under the linden tree, and you can also borrow our fire pit. Fruit trees of old, now rare varieties have stood in the meadow for 80–100 years. As part of a NABU orchard meadow project, we have replanted many more old varieties. You are welcome to help yourselves to fruit and berries when nature is bountiful.

Mill Tower & Wildlife 🐦🐇 🐐: Our mill tower (built in the late 1800s) lost its sails early on in a fire. Until the end of its operational life, the mill was powered by a combined heat and power plant. Today, the tower is a historic monument and a nesting site for kestrels; in the spring, you can watch their young. At night you’ll often hear owls, and during the day many songbirds and corvids. Hares and pheasants frolic in the meadows, and with a bit of luck you might spot a deer.

We’re also joined by our two elderly goats, Azrael and Lavender, as well as our cat 🐈Katinka, who even goes on vacation with us in our 40-year-old camper.

Sounds & Atmosphere 🌿: Acoustically, you’re right in the middle of country life: birdsong, kestrels, owls, the wind in the trees, and the occasional sound of farm equipment are all part of the experience. A country road runs in front of the meadow, and a state highway is about 200 meters away. Depending on the weather and time of day, the traffic in the background is sometimes more, sometimes less audible; many sounds are muffled by farm buildings, trees, and fields. Our guests find the mix of nature, open views, and rural soundscapes very relaxing—a taste of real country life, with quiet and sometimes slightly louder sounds.

🐕 Dogs are very welcome here. If you’re bringing pets, by booking you agree to our camper rules (section “Dogs”)—please be sure to read them.

Check-in and Check-out 🚐🕒: Check-in from 2 PM, check-out by 1 PM. If no one is arriving before you or leaving after you, arrival and departure times can be arranged individually.

Places to visit 🚲🌳🏙️: I’ve put together a little booklet of places worth seeing, which I’ll send you with your booking to help inspire you. Here’s a brief overview:

📍A grocery store with a bakery, two restaurants, a snack bar, the post office, and doctors’ offices are all within walking distance.

📍Several beautiful cycling and hiking trails run past our mill—either directly into the industrial heritage sites or into the natural landscapes of the Münsterland region. The entrance to the Werse Cycle Route is very close by. You can also join the 100 Castles Route from here.

📍By car or train, you can quickly reach Münster, Dortmund, or Hamm, or visit small, typical Münsterland villages. Münster, with its weekly market, is particularly worth a day trip, as is the Ruhr region with its industrial heritage.

📍Day trip destinations: Münster —> All-Weather Zoo, Planetarium, Mill Museum, Aasee (pedal boats, boat tours), weekly market, historic old town, plenty of culture. Hamm —> Maxipark, Maximare

📍Swimming pool, great sauna, indoor pool 10 km away – beautiful bike path

📍You’ll find plenty of options for regional and Mediterranean cuisine in Ahlen, Münster, and Hamm.

Service & Prices 🏷️✨

🏷️ Additional guests: The price includes two people. Each additional adult (16 and older) costs 10 euros. Children 4 and older cost 7 euros. Prices for additional vehicles upon request.

🏷️ Barrel sauna, rain shower under the linden tree, mood lighting. 23 euros for 2.5 hours for one to two people. More people by arrangement.

🏷️ Fire pit: free of charge – you’re also welcome to bring your own fire pit

🏷️ Wood: 5 euros per box – feel free to bring your own wood

🏷️ Drinks are available in the fridge: soft drinks, water (still, sparkling), beer, Mosel wines, sparkling wine.

🏷️ Eggs from happy chickens: 40 cents each

🏷️ Grill: Cleaning fee 5 euros – you’re also welcome to bring your own grill

🏷️ Charcoal: half a bag 3 euros, whole bag 6 euros

🏷️ Shamanic Journey: Would you like to meet your power animal, or do you have other questions for your shamanic guides? The price depends on the number of people.

🏷️ Tractor ride on a vintage tractor: One person can ride along on our 9-ton 1968 John Deere and take a spin with Markus. This offer is available only by arrangement with Markus and subject to conditions.

Your camping rules – so everyone feels comfortable

By booking, you agree to our rules. They help us keep the campground the way we love it – quiet, mindful, and respectful.

▫️Water supply: Our water is not drinking water. Please use water sparingly—it is a valuable resource.

▫️Dogs are very welcome here and there is no charge. You are also welcome to bring multiple pets. 🐕 Please let us know in advance if you have dogs with you. 🐕 Please keep your pets secured at all times on the entire property (leash/fencing) so that we—people and animals alike—can all feel safe.

▫️Barn Door: The door to your bathroom leads into our barn. Please lock it after each use.

▫️Lighting in the Bathroom and Barn: Please always turn off the lights when you leave the rooms.

▫️Grill: If you use our grill, please store it under cover after it has cooled down, especially in case of rain.

▫️Mindfulness & Liability: Please treat the space, plants, and furnishings with care. Simply report any damage to us so we can find a solution together. Use is at your own risk; we cannot accept liability for accidents, losses, or weather-related damage.

▫️To protect this atmosphere, we reserve the right to terminate your stay without a refund in the event of repeated or gross violations. Fortunately, this has never been necessary so far—we usually find a solution through conversation. Welcome!

Markus (my husband) is very down-to-earth and close to nature. I (Andrea) have training in shamanism and also love nature. We see our farm as a place to slow down. We are no longer a commercial operation, but use nature’s treasures primarily for ourselves—and our guests are welcome to share in them. We’re vintage vehicle enthusiasts (including John Deere tractors from 1937 and 1968) and self-sufficient, with a large vegetable and fruit garden. We love hitting the road in our 40-year-old Mercedes camper—now always with Katinka on board.
