The campground is located at the canoe club’s clubhouse, right on the Werre River.
You’ll find an idyllic little campground with a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.
East Westphalia and the Lipperland region offer many wonderful opportunities for active leisure pursuits.
You can set out on canoe trips, bike rides, or hikes right from here.
The H2O Leisure and Wellness Center is located right next door.
Art and culture (e.g., Marta Herford or the newly built Herford Archaeological Window) are just a 15-minute bike ride away.
The bus stop, restaurant, and supermarket are only a 5-minute walk away.
But you can also simply relax in a camping chair, gaze at the water, and let your mind wander—it’s all very possible here.😃

Really lovely and totally hassle-free. A nice evening walk along the Werre. Afterward, I enjoyed the sauna at the nearby H2O. 👍

I stayed there for one night. I had a spot near the river, which made it a great place to relax in the evening. Jens was very friendly to communicate with. I'd love to come back.
A nice meadow with everything a camper needs, within walking distance of downtown Herford
It was great, and everything was just right! Nice site, adequate restrooms, good location—1.5 km from downtown—with a Rewe (including a bakery) 500 m away and a Lidl 800 m away. When arriving, look for the “Kanuclub” sign on the right—it’s a little hard to see! Otherwise, I highly recommend it!
