The campground is located at the canoe club’s clubhouse, right on the Werre River.
You’ll find an idyllic little campground with a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.
East Westphalia and the Lipperland region offer many wonderful opportunities for active leisure pursuits.
You can set out on canoe trips, bike rides, or hikes right from here.
The H2O Leisure and Wellness Center is located right next door.
Art and culture (e.g., Marta Herford or the newly built Herford Archaeological Window) are just a 15-minute bike ride away.
The bus stop, restaurant, and supermarket are only a 5-minute walk away.
But you can also simply relax in a camping chair, gaze at the water, and let your mind wander—it’s all very possible here.😃

The campsite at the canoe club is very easy to reach and centrally located on the Werre River. Here you’ll find plenty of peace and space. We really enjoyed our stay here—it’s very idyllic by the river.
The campsite is in a beautiful location, and everything you need is within walking distance. It’s also a great starting point for bike rides. Excellent communication and assistance! Note: Currently, there is no facility for emptying gray water or cassette toilets.
We spent one night on the meadow by the river in Herford. Communication both before our arrival and on-site went very smoothly. The restrooms and showers were clean, and the area was great for dog owners. The city is within walking distance. We’d love to come back.
Really lovely and totally hassle-free. A nice evening walk along the Werre. Afterward, I enjoyed the sauna at the nearby H2O. 👍
