Camping by a green quarry pond in the middle of nature

We offer you beautiful campsites by our quarry pond, nestled in peaceful, green surroundings right next to the Grinderwald.

Right next door, you’ll find our herd of mother cows grazing in the pasture. It’s simply a beautiful spot.

Each site is secluded, so you’ll have privacy. The entire area spans 20 hectares. An idyllic path winds around the entire pond. Ideal for walks with your four-legged friends.

The Grinderwald, which is directly adjacent, is of course also perfect for hiking and exploring.

The Steinhuder Meer or our Schneeren moorlands are relatively easy to reach by bike.

Directions:

From Neustadt

Simply take the B6 and drive straight into the forest. You’ll see the lake on your right. Please drive all the way to the end here.

From Nienburg: Take the Schneerener Krug exit, cross the B6 bridge, then turn left into the forest.

The available designated spots (for cars, RVs, etc.) are on the right side of the gravel path, in the driveways by the pond above the embankment (feel free to choose here; we’re happy to leave that up to you; just find a quiet and peaceful spot). With a tent, you’re naturally even more flexible.

If you plan to barbecue (which is possible on a small scale), please exercise caution. The embankment by the pond is very dry.

The best way to reach the water is directly from the gravel path.

Our 3 areas:

You’re welcome to spread out across the grounds so you’re not too close to each other. Generally, though, you should stick to the color-coded areas. This way, we can all avoid arguments in advance over the supposedly best spots.

Orange Area: 🟧

Located separately and a bit off to the side, this area is suitable for tents and off-road vehicles.

Gray and White Areas: 🔳

Accessible to standard vehicles and separated by about 100 meters. Ideal for groups.

Please stay away from the production area (production runs on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., but is very quiet). For safety reasons, access is of course not permitted here ☺️
