Our farm is located in Scheeßel, near Rotenburg/Wümme. There are wonderful cycle paths here and the heath and moorland landscapes can be hiked extensively on the numerous northern trails.
We run both a small farm store and a milking parlor where you can experience everything to do with dairy products: Ice cream, quark dishes, milkshakes, but also coffee and cake.
The farm store is all about our free-range chickens and herbs. There are home-made pasta, soups, jams, teas and herbal salts. Drinks, sausage, cheese, vegetables and fruit are also available to buy in the farm store. We also offer vacationers a breakfast with regional ingredients!

The owner is a bit reserved. Quite the opposite of her husband. The breakfast basket is a nice idea, but the portions are a bit small. The campsite has an adjacent outdoor enclosure where chickens, goats, and alpacas are kept. All dairy products sold in the shop are purchased from outside sources, as the farm doesn’t have its own dairy cows. Bottom line: Quiet and laid-back
So nice! I took my girls, ages 3 and 5, on a bike ride there. We were able to bring our tent and other gear ahead of time. The breakfast basket was great, and the highlight for my kids was collecting eggs! Plus, we got to camp among the alpacas and chickens, and there was a playground with toy vehicles... It was truly amazing—a warm and welcoming place we’ll definitely visit again! Thank you!
Located close to the highway, okay for passing through, reception reserved - polite. Breakfast basket with some of the hotel's own products very tasty and there were even gluten-free rolls. Nice farm store with very tasty products.
It was wonderful at the Melkhus, I can only recommend it, great and friendly service and the breakfast gave me a good boost for my hike, I can only recommend everything and will be happy to come back.
