Hey, I'm
We run both a small farm store and a Melkhus, where you can experience everything to do with dairy products: Ice cream, quark dishes, milkshakes, but also coffee and cake. The farm store is all about our free-range chickens and herbs. There are home-made pasta, soups, jams, teas and herbal salts. Drinks, sausage, cheese, vegetables and fruit are also available to buy in the farm store. We also offer holidaymakers a breakfast with regional ingredients.

So nice! I took my girls, ages 3 and 5, on a bike ride there. We were able to bring our tent and other gear ahead of time. The breakfast basket was great, and the highlight for my kids was collecting eggs! Plus, we got to camp among the alpacas and chickens, and there was a playground with toy vehicles... It was truly amazing—a warm and welcoming place we’ll definitely visit again! Thank you!

Located close to the highway, okay for passing through, reception reserved - polite. Breakfast basket with some of the hotel's own products very tasty and there were even gluten-free rolls. Nice farm store with very tasty products.
It was wonderful at the Melkhus, I can only recommend it, great and friendly service and the breakfast gave me a good boost for my hike, I can only recommend everything and will be happy to come back.
Very nice place, super guest friendly anytime again.
A place on a farm ideal for watching the chickens and alpacas. The farm store is great. Communication was very good and uncomplicated.
A nice place and nice communication with the hosts. The farm store has everything you need to stay there for a few nights. We were even lucky enough to get a freshly pulled pork in the Feldmark.
The two of us spent a night at the campsite in our car and tent and felt completely at home. The site was exactly as described. We would particularly like to emphasize the hostess Sabine, who was very attentive and cordial. Everything went very smoothly, from arrival to departure. We would love to come back!
Great stop! Little playgarden for our children. Toilet for use 1€, Nice ownere. Thank you Sabine.
The place is very cozy and idyllic and Sabine is a totally nice hostess! We would love to come back :)
Super! Very friendly and helpful. Super tasty breakfast! Great farm store. We will be back.
Very friendly! Great breakfast, delicious ice cream 😋
We would love to come back
The site is a long meadow between the agricultural road and the meadow where the chickens, goats and alpacas graze. It's really nice to look out over meadows, woods and nature in the morning. Of course, this is a working farm, so every now and then a tractor rattles past or the pigs scream. But if, like me, you come from the countryside and/or just like it in general, you'll be super happy here. What I like best is the farm store and the milking parlor. There you get a very large selection of food at super fair prices. The Melkhuis also serves ice cream in the afternoon and the forest fruit ice cream was one of the best I've ever had! A clear recommendation! I'll be back again.
The farm is super nice, there is a small farm store, a small café and so many paths to walk along. The pigs in a barn make a lot of noise, which is of course normal on a farm... Still, it takes some getting used to :) All in all a super nice stay! Thank you and best regards from Berlin
We felt very comfortable with Sabine on the farm. The kids 5 years and 8 years were totally thrilled by the great playground. It was wonderful to wake up with the chickens, goats and alpacas. The kids waited enthusiastically for Sabine every day to feed the animals in the pasture. We can only recommend the farm.
Everything was great, idyllic location 👍
Everything was great for the 2nd time! It was fun again!
We did very well again for the second time!
Very pleasant stay. We would love to come back.
We spent 3 nights on Sabine's pitch. We really enjoyed it. It was easy to get there with a 7.50 caravan and van. View directly onto the goat and chicken run next to the alpacas. The meadow is quite straight. The toilet we could use was about 250 meters from the pitch and belonged to the Melkhus. Electricity was directly at the pitch. There were delicious delicacies to buy in the farm store and it was possible to order bread rolls. As we were unable to try the delicious breakfast due to time constraints, we will definitely be back ;-) Thank you for letting us be there. PS: the farm dog is so calm that even our less sociable terrier had no problem with him!
Nice welcome. Small nice pitch right next to the chickens, goats and alpacas. Uncomplicated contact and mega delicious breakfast 👍 we will definitely come back a 3rd time.
Sabine was very welcoming. Very accommodating and provided us with electricity and water. Thank you : ) Toilet extremely clean. Lovely farm in a wonderful rural location. There is a lovely farm shop and also a cafe (the cafe was unfortunately closed as we stayed out of season) We would recommend this peaceful camping spot!
A quiet place and very friendly hosts. The farm store alone is worth a visit.
Super top breakfast!! Chickens and goats right in front of the van and the very friendly dog Lotte keeps watch at the van :-). But you should like farm country air and not be irritated by quite loud noises of the pigs. Otherwise everything top and very nice landlords.
We were greeted nicely. The small store, the breakfast room and the garden in between are very nice and friendly prepared. So for that all stars possible!!! Also the pitch is ok. A piece of lawn right next to free-range chickens and goats on one side and a small road with little traffic on the other. The farm is alone between adjacent fields. What is unfortunately not in the description, is the direct proximity of the pitches to the pigsty. The corresponding smells were for our rather urban noses quite getting used to. My personal negative experience and the sole reason for the so low number of stars: To me, the screaming (no grunting) of the pigs on our first day of stay there got very to my kidneys. On the second day, either the animals were more balanced or my hearing was more dulled. However, everyone may feel differently. I am also for me very good reasons vegetarian.
We spent a relaxing weekend on the farm, the arrival and the stay were very uncomplicated. The pitch at the chicken enclosure is nice and close to nature and we liked it very much. The breakfast is highlighted in the reviews not without reason and is definitely a must! We will be happy to come back.
Were here in June 2023. Great stopover. Also very nice with children! We really enjoyed the breakfast with regional products.
Great pitch right by the chickens! The farm store and the cafe had everything the heart desires. The breakfast booked was lovingly prepared and super tasty! The playground was also top for our three year old! We had a great weekend on the farm and will be back again! Highly recommended!
A nice welcome, a wonderful breakfast. All good, recommendable for friends of the real country life
We liked it very much with Sabine. The pitch is on a road, but the farm is so secluded that there is actually no traffic passing. The pitch is right next to the chicken run, where there are also goats. The pigs in the barn could be heard clearly from time to time, but this did not bother us. Especially in the evening it was very quiet. One is just on a farm! We also took advantage of the breakfast service. We liked the offer very much. In the garden café you can enjoy coffee, cake and ice cream. For children there are many toys. The hosts were extremely friendly! We would come again!
I had a good time with Sabine. And it really is as described: You wake up with the chickens, bet? Everything is fine, gladly again.
Very nice hosts, it was fun! Stay as you are!
We have spent a very nice weekend over Whitsun with family Bassen's. The pitch was super and very quiet. THE chickens and goats do not bother at all. The motto "Get up with the chickens" fits absolutely. E s has lacked nothing. The breakfast is absolutely recommendable. Gladly again.
We were for a long weekend with Sabine and your family on the farm. We enjoyed the visit very much! Sabine is a great and attentive hostess. When visiting should definitely enjoy the super breakfast. We will definitely come again! 😊
Sabine's farm is super nice. We have felt comfortable from the beginning and we have lacked nothing. As a visitor, you should definitely take advantage of the breakfast offer. For an absolutely fair price you get a delicious breakfast with mainly (or completely?!) farm products. A highlight! Unfortunately, we could not try the own cakes, because we were on the road a lot - we have to make up for it. Thank you so much that we were allowed to be on your farm :)
Nice farm with great farm store, we are very happy to come back!
Very idyllic pitch with typical farm noises and partly also smell.
Dear Sabine, Your warm way makes me always happy to come to you and we have already become real friends. I thank you. Yours R. K.
Very tasty breakfast. Pitch is on a green strip under trees but right next to a small but hardly traveled road. Farm noises may miss one or two minutes of sleep at night :)
Very nice hosts and a very tasty breakfast. Always gladly again 😍
Beautiful place right next to the chicken run. Very nice uncomplicated hosts with a really great breakfast.
We were there for one night for the Hurricane Festival. The family is very warm and the breakfast is great. One feels very welcome and stands (despite festival) very quiet. Beautiful farm store! Country air is just part of it.
Very great hostess - pitch is functional with electricity. But the highlight is the breakfast that was with all the goodies from their own farm. Also the farm store offers all the delicacies you know and expect from a farm. We had 2 nice campers next to us and so we could talk about dog topics. A great time you got from other people.
Super nice hosts. Breakfast and ice cream bar to recommend! :-)
Nice and accommodating hostess. Sabine shone with me with an unexpectedly luxurious breakfast. Gladly again. See you soon dear Sabine
Our very first camping experience in general and with Hinterland. Dear Sabine, thank you for welcoming us so warmly. You made us a magical milkshake, your cake tasted excellent and the breakfast was perfect. There was no lack of water from above and our camper held up well in the stiff breeze. Best conditions to try out the camper.
Thank you for allowing us to arrive so spontaneously. You actually stand directly at the chicken and goat enclosure. A highlight for our little son. The cafe totally sweet and the ice cream highly recommended. The farm store offers everything edible you can need. We have used the breakfast offered and have been satisfied with it. Who is smell sensitive to farm should avoid the place, otherwise the optimal paradise for a short break. WC 24h open and clean 👍
The reception was very friendly and Sabine is a nice hostess. The pitch is spacious, so that everyone has enough space. We also liked the location right by the chickens and goats, as there was always something to watch. Thank you for the beautiful weekend. VG Melanie and Dominic
A beautiful pitch, very nice hosts and great for kids who like farms! We will be happy to come again.
We liked it very much on the meadow with the chickens and goats. The farm store is very well stocked and the hostess very nice.
We were well received and briefed by Sabine. Electricity and toilet use we had booked before, everything worked great. For water you should bring a watering can, because there is no hose. The booked breakfast was very tasty and for 2 people it fit. The elongated grass pitches are located between a road and the chicken enclosure, which was okay for us. Sure you can hear the pigs and the tractors (harvest time) but is normal when camping on a farm. The farm store and the Melkhuis were very nice. We liked it well with Sabine.
The reception was short and businesslike. The pitch is located directly behind a little, but if, then very fast and also very early in the morning, traveled road with a view of chicken enclosure and the back of a pigsty (🐷 can scream very loudly, and that even at night). Electricity is available, WC also, and 24 hrs and very clean ( bring your own toilet paper). Breakfast (9.50Euro) was prepared very lovingly and exceptionally, for two people but perhaps a little tight. The only pity was that the neighboring table was treated more lush and courteous.
Very relaxed it was. The pitch is on a road, which is very quiet. The sounds of the farm animals are there on each more present, but is also a farm. The best thing is the breakfast and the farm café. You can sit all day in the café, watch the children play and eat delicious cake. Every time again!
We had a very nice stay at the farm. Special spectacle: the goat escape from the chicken coop and the associated capture action. The breakfast was very tasty and the selbstegamchten pasta from Sabine a dream. We also very much enjoyed the open and honest discussion about farm animal husbandry -very happy to return.
A very nice farm, nice hosts and delicious breakfast.
Inviting forest trails in the immediate vicinity for joggers, Nordic walkers, walkers, cyclists and all who like spacious nature. Ice cream cafe + rhubarb ice cream: very tasty! Short chat with Sabine ;-) Conclusion: always gladly again!
Very nice welcome, nice pitch by the chickens. Breakfast at the farm cafe was great.
Sabine is a great hostess. The breakfast was great, the ice cream was special and tasted great and we would have loved to buy the farm store empty. The pitch is very idyllic in the immediate vicinity of the chickens and goats. We will be happy to come back again!
Small meadow, right on the road. It was quite quiet, except for the pigs, but they have not disturbed. A beautiful spot.
A beautiful spot on earth. We were warmly welcomed and briefed on site. Electricity was also available, but from a Schuko socket. So, do not forget the appropriate adapter. Otherwise, everything super. Will book again.
At the beginning of June I was a guest for the second time on the farm of the Bassen family. Everything was fine, as usual. This time the weather played along: from the pitch are beautiful and extended walks with the dogs in the immediate vicinity possible! The dogs should (because of the setting and breeding season ) from May into the summer please remain leashed! The quality of the food offered in the farm store is top! Handicraft articles and nice conversations round off the offer. The farm cafe is open again - and I definitely want to try a farm ice cream on my next visit! It does not get boring at the Bassens! Therefore: full 5 stars!
Nice pitch with the chickens and goats, great farm store and a very good breakfast, nice hosts. The background noise of the pigs is sometimes a bit loud.Should perhaps mention in the description with the not only chickens live on the farm would perhaps be advantageous.
Nice pitch by the chickens, pretty ice cream parlor, great farm store with playground and very nice hosts.
Nice hosts, quiet location. Farm animals and associated background noise. But has not disturbed us.
The site is located at the farm on the road that is not heavily traveled. You have a beautiful view of the free-range chickens and the surrounding fields. On the farm is a nice farm store and the Melkhus with many delicacies. In addition, you can have a very tasty breakfast. There is the possibility to use a toilet. We were very kindly received and hosted and will definitely come again.
Despite all the rain, the place was good to ride and not muddy. Very nice hostess, have immediately provided a map for bike tours. The farm store is well equipped. The Frühdtück very tasty and rich. It was 3 beautiful days in Scheeßel and Umzu For bike enthusiasts Highly recommended.
I was able to spend 2 quiet nights and a relaxing day on the farm of the Bassen family with my caravan team, as I was traveling on business. The site is located on a meadow, right next to a free-range enclosure for poultry. Electricity is available directly at the meadow. The small and fine farm store is very well stocked with everything that the camper heart so desires. Tuesday is a day of rest, so I will take a closer look at the "herb corner" on my next visit! Information boards and a site map show interested guests the sights in the area and some hiking tours. There is also a farm cafe where camper guests can have breakfast when it is allowed again. At the moment the cafe is unfortunately still closed. The Bassen family is very concerned about guest satisfaction and the welcome was extremely warm. I immediately felt welcome and the feeling of well-being set in very quickly! A big THANK YOU for this on this way once again to the family Bassen, especially to Sabine. Since I commute for work, I am looking forward to my next visit to Melkhus! Gabi Reinke
