  On September 22 at 8:57 p.m., I submitted a request for a RV parking spot. The next day at 11:57 a.m., I received the brief reply, “See you later.” When we arrived at the house at 12:56 p.m., no one was there. It was absolutely unclear on site where we were supposed to park, especially since there were already two RVs there (the listing online also only indicates two spots). I then messaged the host, Torsten, directly and asked if we could just park somewhere. We waited, but as of today, we haven’t received a reply. Since there was no phone number listed to quickly resolve the issue, we ultimately decided against staying there and drove on, disappointed. But the audacity doesn’t end there: Despite this complete lack of communication and the fact that we couldn’t use the spot, Torsten is insisting on payment of the €19. When I inquired with Hinterland, I was simply told that the host is insisting on the money. I personally would find such behavior extremely unpleasant, but I suppose it’s simply a matter of character. Not recommended—they’re charging for zero service and poor communication!

  We had a wonderful time with you, but unfortunately it was all over too soon . . . We only stayed one night at the cozy little campground just outside Eckernförde. A gorgeous location, right on the Baltic Sea. We’ll definitely be back.
