We live on a property with a huge garden in a cul-de-sac location near the Kiel Canal and close to the Baltic Sea. Surrounded by hilly fields, meadows, forest and fruit trees, this spot offers a cozy oasis and a great starting point for all hikers and cyclists (directly connected to the Kiel Canal long-distance cycle path).
Both large passing ships as well as the one or other field and forest dwellers (deer, hares) can always be observed in our garden.
Families with children are also very welcome! There are play and climbing facilities and a fireplace for a cozy get-together.
For a real camping feeling and outdoor enthusiasts, there is a kitchen (heated lounge, cooking facilities, fridge), an outdoor sink, an outdoor shower (hot water) under the open sky and a dry toilet. Please shower only with biodegradable soap!
The Schinkel eco-region with a selection of regional farm produce and an organic bakery is just a stone's throw away. Further highlights in the immediate vicinity are the zoo in Gettorf, the state capital Kiel, the Baltic seaside resort Eckernförde, the Schlei and NATURALLY...BEACH and SEA!!!

A very nice and quiet spot with very friendly hosts! The campsite is great, with a view of the canal where you can watch boats go by. The restroom is lovely, and there’s an incredibly charming pavilion where you can cook and eat. This was a godsend for us in the rainy weather, since we’re traveling with just a rooftop tent. Highly recommended!
Ines gave us a warm welcome and took the time to explain everything to us in detail. Everything is very well-maintained and beautifully decorated. We had a relaxing evening and a peaceful night's sleep while passing through.
The place was exactly what we were looking for: a large meadow, beautiful old trees, peace and quiet, and nature all around. The nature-inspired amenities make the place very special, as does the cozy gazebo. Ines and Thies are wonderful hosts who are always there to listen to their guests. A heartfelt thank you to both of you! We’d love to come back.

A beautiful campsite right on the Kiel Canal! I really loved the Campingoase. The owners are very nice and welcoming, and the entire site is extremely well-maintained and run with a lot of care. The absolute highlight, of course, is the unique location right on the canal. Just sitting back and relaxing at your campsite while watching the big “giant ships” sail by—there’s something truly special about that. 🚢 For me, it’s a great place to unwind, watch the ships, and just enjoy myself. I’d love to come back—a solid five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
