Are you looking for camps nearby to spend a spontaneous night in the countryside? That's exactly what you'll find at hinterland.camp. If you like to search for camps flexibly and spontaneously, you can simply use our practical radius search, where you can only see camps in your area. Simply select "In my area" in the search bar under "Where to?" and only browse through campsites that are very close to you. The radius search is also super handy for longer road trips. Only drive for as long as you feel ready to drive and find a parking space nearby and in the Hinterland spontaneously. Incidentally, our camps are located exclusively in nature and you share them with a maximum of two other camp neighbors - so they are the perfect places to go for a well-deserved rest after a long drive.

In the camp overview you will find all the important information about the facilities and services of the campsites. Based on pictures, a short description and a wide range of filters such as: Dogs welcome, shower, electricity, water, by the sea, in the forest, on a farm, etc., you can get a precise impression of the place and search specifically for your dream camp. In addition to information on the facilities and services of the camps, you will also find information on activities in the surrounding area in the pitch overview. So you don't need to do any research on the region, because your hosts know their region best and know exactly what there is to do in the immediate vicinity of the campsite. You will find activities such as fishing, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, climbing, wildlife watching and much more. Often, the hosts will even give you insider tips on activities or places nearby that you certainly wouldn't find in any travel guide.

To check whether the camps are available for your desired travel period, you can simply select your desired dates in the search bar under "When" and only see campsites in the vicinity that are still available. If you already have a specific camp in mind, you can also use the calendar in the pitch overview to enter your travel dates. Only dates on which a camp is still available can be selected and booked, so you can see immediately whether there is still a pitch available for you at the camp on the specific dates. If the pitch is free, you can request it (depending on the host's selection) or book it immediately.

To get an even better impression of the campsite in advance, you can take a look at the reviews of other campers in the campsite overview. After a trip to the hinterland has taken place, we ask every guest to share their experience in the form of a 5-star scale and a short text so that other guests can benefit from it and we can help each other.

Once you have found your dream camp nearby, you can easily book it via the website or our camping app. Simply register on the website or app with your email address, name and password and book the pitch via Apple or Google Pay, credit card or SEPA direct debit. Communicate with your hosts at any time on topics such as arrival, the local conditions or anything else that is on your mind, they will be happy to help you and are there for you if you have any questions.
