3 days by the sea: let's go on a Baltic Sea road trip!
from hinterland.camp
Falling asleep to the sound of waves, breakfast with a sea view and surf vibes outside the camper door? We show you our favorite camps on the Baltic Sea that are perfect for a long, sunny hinterland weekend.
3 stops right by the sea
What could be nicer than cooling off right outside the camper door when the weather finally warms up and the sun burns on your skin? We have just the thing for you: a short road trip to the Baltic Sea with camps right by the water, in a secluded location and surrounded by nature. You'll drive to a total of three different campsites that offer plenty of opportunities for relaxation, action, adventure or peace and quiet.
- Your road trip starts with a camp right on the water with a view of Eckernförde Bay at host Thorsten's.
- Continue north to the second camp with the sound of the sea, just above Kappeln with host Tim.
- And last but not least, you'll be stranded on host Jule's spacious farm near Flensburg.
The Baltic Sea on your doorstep with a view of Eckernförde Bay
First stop
The first stop is at a campsite belonging to host Thorsten, where the sea welcomes you for breakfast right outside the camper door. The good connections via the B76 are ideal for day trips to the port city of Flensburg. And when you return to the camp in the evening, you can look forward to regional cuisine in the restaurant next door.

The place by the sea is very well received by the Hinterland community.
Birte rates it with 5.0 stars and writes:
"A camp with a view of the Baltic Sea. That's what we wanted. And we certainly got it. But not only that... but also a cozy, straight pitch directly on the Baltic Sea with its own access to it, a super nice, flexible, reliable and uncomplicated host who knows what campers need, the opportunity to enjoy incredibly delicious food in a wonderful atmosphere in the immediate vicinity, the proximity to Eckernförde, a connection to the cycle path and a great starting point for walks on the beach. Needless to say, we had a great stay!"

Second stop
At the second stop, you can really enjoy yourself between the woods and meadows on one of your host Tim's camps. The site is idyllically located in the middle of nature and just 600 meters from the beautiful natural beach on the Baltic Sea. In summer, you can buy fresh bread rolls for breakfast from the small local shop and during the day you can explore the area on numerous hiking trails. Dogs are very welcome and, weather permitting, you can borrow a fire bowl from Tim for a relaxing summer evening around the campfire.
