We booked on the spur of the moment, and Daniel gave us directions over the phone. The location is absolutely peaceful and idyllic. Wonderful!
It was very quiet and peaceful, and as two women, we felt very safe. It was a beautiful meadow surrounded by fields.
A wonderful spot surrounded by nature. Communicating with Daniel was a breeze. The place really stands out for its natural beauty. We’d love to come back.

For once, the Hinterland experience was somewhat spoiled: as we were traveling from far away, it was clear early on that we would be a little late. We therefore tried to contact Daniel, but were unable to do so via Hinterland messages, telephone or text message. When we arrived at the address given (a house with a barn), it wasn't clear where we were supposed to call, no one could be found and Daniel was still unavailable. But then we realized that there was a mown meadow on the right about 150m after the house, where two motorhomes were already parked. So we set up on the meadow too. However, the anticipation of a quiet night was spoiled: the hinterland neighbors with HH license plates obviously had something to celebrate, music was playing until about 02:00, which disturbed our sleep. We then set off on our onward journey feeling less than rested...
I stayed at Daniel's for one night with my two sons. It is a wonderful and idyllic location, which we enjoyed. Access to the Stör is not easy, but it makes the trip a real adventure. Daniel was always available and we will definitely be back! Thank you very much for this time out and opportunity!
Hello camper community, I was here from Friday to Sunday with a buddy, a VW Bulli and a DHL Bomber on the green meadow, which is huge and surrounded by trees. There were the odd pile of cows on the meadow, but that didn't bother us. The peace and quiet is fantastic. Four or five vehicles drove past during the day. You can hear lots of birdsong. I walked with the dog next to the Stör dyke, when you enter the Stör dyke you have a fantastic view over the Stör! If you need two days of rest and relaxation, Daniel on the meadow is the perfect place for you. Daniel is a nice guy, good communication.
We stayed there for 1 night on our way to Denmark. We were all alone on a large meadow with dog perfect. We would love to come back

Beautiful, quiet location next to the farm and close to the dyke. The river and various hiking routes are in the immediate vicinity. Daniel was always available and very helpful. Thanks for the stay!:)

Beautiful place in the nature. The communication in advance went smoothly and we were received absolutely warmly by Daniel. Even though there were 2 other campers besides us, everyone had more than enough space for themselves to enjoy the heavenly peace. We and our dog really enjoyed the beautiful hiking trails. Unfortunately, our travel plans only allowed time for one overnight stay - but we'll certainly be back there again sometime.

It was a great trip! The place is a dream, directly in nature and on the river "Stör". We were received super sweet and also rescued at the end when we got stuck. Thank you! We are very happy to come again.

We had a super quiet night all alone in the big meadow. Visited were three chickens, a cat, a deer, a rabbit, a woodpecker, a cuckoo and a few other birds. Just as we had imagined it in the backcountry 😃
It was heavenly again with Daniel and Melina. Alone on a large meadow with sensational sunsets. Pure relaxation with deer, herons and beautiful nature. You arrive and are refreshed - we are already looking forward to the next time.
We booked quite spontaneously, which was fortunately no problem at all. The large meadow is beautifully located and somewhat secluded. For us it was just a little stop on the way to the sea, but we will definitely come back.

Nice welcome. Had the meadow 2 nights for us alone. Nice we still got firewood, so we could use the existing fire bowl. We can recommend the place.

Who wants to enjoy the absolute tranquility is exactly right here! Our canoe is fully got its money's worth, however, the way to the entrance is not for sissies 😉. Thanks to Daniel and Melina, we will definitely be back!
Beautiful....very secluded mowed meadow! We have here after the W:O:A a night can recover class. The only thing I found irritating is that the pictured creek is reasonably around the corner, but you can not really get there. I found that a bit of a shame...had already seen my feet in there;) Otherwise, however, everything great....and many thanks again for the support with the drone recovery! Matze&Andrea

Hm, reviews are always such a thing: You've found a great place and don't really want to 'promote' it, but rather keep it as your own secret tip. But that would be unfair :-) So: Melina and Daniel are unbelievably nice and eager hosts. We immediately felt at home and were very happy about our great place. Because the available meadow is surrounded by large trees, you can choose whether you want to stand rather sunny, or rather semi-shaded - and protected from the wind it is ddurch the trees of course. A great and totally quiet place, where protected from view maybe twice a day a farmer or or residents chugs past - you do not get at all with, disturbs no piece. with our dog we could walk directly from the site meadow completely carefree on dyke and meadows, with the feeling rather to be directly near the coast, as in the interior of Schleswig Holstein. A dream place to switch off - with far view, wind and much peace. One thing is for sure: We will always come back!
As it was described it was also true. We (1 couple plus 2 dogs) were very much to ourselves and could enjoy the nature and tranquility. The place is a mowed meadow on which you have enough space. We were lucky and were the only ones, so we could romp extensively with our dogs:-) Daniel has welcomed us very friendly and answered some questions in advance.

We were one night with Daniel. Were traveling with van and tent. The place is close to the farm but still alone. You have his peace and can enjoy nature. The pitches are generous. And the hosts are very warm! We would come again and again. Thank you very much!
It was a nice weekend. Daniel and Melina are nice and helpful people. The place was great and you had your peace........ A walk to the nearby town for shopping made for a nice day of cherry pit spitting..-;). I'm not a fan of a pack of dogs running free, nor am I a fan of "boom-boom" music, nor of drones buzzing in the backcountry...but respect the need of other nearby city dwellers for "quiet".
The very best! Quiet, dark at night, ideal with dog, nicely secluded and some possibilities for longer walks through the "Zweistromland" at Stör and Bramau. A filled fire bowl was also already waiting for us. In addition, a nice host, which we will certainly visit more often in the future😃
I did not stay, which was annoying because I would have needed the break after 500 km and unfortunately found no alternative on the long holiday weekend. Thus, it was called to continue, despite fatigue. Reason for my departure / not staying overnight was: A) Equipment: There was no water / no dishwashing facilities on site. This was also stated in the ad, I had not seen. However, not everyone has a fully-equipped motorhome (I have a VW bus), with flush option / toilet. Therefore, I thought that this would be part of the basic supply. Have I now learned that this is not so. B) Safety: Regarding the location, as a woman traveling alone, I did not have such a good feeling -> place between two trees, somewhat away from the yard, which made a less well-kept impression overall. Idyllic location, but accessible to everyone. Refund was offered, which I had not accepted because I had not read the ad with full attention. Overall, the model of Hinterland Camping seems to be aimed more at joint-travelers (safety aspect!) With full equipment IN the vehicle.

Dreamlike quiet location in the middle of lush spring and surrounded by wonderful trees. Invites you to dream. Daniel and Melina are uncomplicated and we were allowed to make a campfire. During the night it rained. Do must be...here you can totally down and let your soul dangle. Many thanks for this

We had a perfect weekend with Daniel and Melina! Pure tranquility, great scenery, lots of space and cattle literally right outside the door. 100 meters away a stork on the meadow. We will definitely come again!
Melina and Daniel were simply famos! Our two boys, aged 13 and almost 15, wanted to camp for the first time on their own "in the wilderness" - which is not so easy in Germany! It should not be the typical campsite, but camping with a feeling of freedom and adventure. Luckily, I came across the Hinterland app and the offer from Melina and Daniel. Although the place was only advertised for campers, I asked them if they would also offer our boys the opportunity to camp. The resulting contact was very nice, and today we picked up two very fulfilled and happy kids after 3 nights. They were even provided with a fire bowl and firewood - it just doesn't get any better than that! I am very grateful to you, you two! With this you have laid a fat foundation for the two! THANK YOU! The place itself is very beautiful and idyllic, you can look far, but would also have a canopy over your head in warmer weather. Recommendation!
We had a very quiet night on the farm of Daniel & Melina, there is a cozy fireplace & a grill is also available. Super nice hosts, highly recommended!
Very idyllic, quiet as a mouse, in the middle of nature. Hosts very friendly. We were by bike in a few minutes in the village, where stores and restaurants are. Very happy to return.
