Martina is a wonderful, warm-hearted host. She waited patiently for us until evening—since we were stuck in traffic—to show us around the site. Unfortunately, we only had a short time to chat with her, but we’ll definitely make up for it. The site is idyllically situated among horse paddocks on a paved, level surface. It’s quiet and somewhat secluded, so you don’t notice any of the hustle and bustle in the region. We look forward to seeing Martina again at her farm and will also take advantage of some of her excursion tips as soon as we’re back. And this certainly won’t be our last visit. We spent a long weekend at Martina's. It is a beautiful and very well-maintained horse farm. We live in the countryside ourselves and our neighbor is a horse breeder—his place is nowhere near as nice and well-kept. You can see that the owners put a lot of love into it. Pure nature, just as we love it... Very nice and attentive owners. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great and we had to leave early. So we didn't have the opportunity to explore the area on our bikes, which is certainly beautiful. It's a shame, but nobody can do anything about the weather. We can definitely recommend the campsite. Super nice and very friendly communication. The only drawback: the site is not suitable for very large motorhomes. Our motorhome is over 8 meters long, so maneuvering it is quite a task! Unfortunately, we don't fit into the designated space between two farm buildings. If you are looking for peace and quiet and simply want a nice base from which to explore the countryside and the North Sea, this is the place for you. Greetings to the really nice owners. Martina is a very nice, attentive hostess (including supply of plums and mirabelle plums :-)) and the farm is beautiful and very well maintained. You stand on a beautifully landscaped square between two farm buildings. The area is under video surveillance, or at least a camera is installed there. Varel, Varel harbor and the North Sea can be reached quickly by bike. As I prefer to stay close to nature, I moved on early.
It was sooo nice at Martina's. Unfortunately we weren't so lucky with the weather. But we will definitely be back again🥰 Very nice location, uncomplicated communication and Martina is very accommodating, not intrusive but anxious that you are doing well.... Thank you🥰
We stayed with Martina for 2 wonderful days. Very nice hostess and a very well-kept property. You can do a lot by bike, or just chill and watch the horses graze. Thank you Martina.....we would love to come back wieder🙋♂️🙋♀️🍀

A beautiful place not only for horse lovers. It has water and electricity, the rest should be self-sufficient if you want to stay a few days longer. The host family is helpful and friendly, the place is quiet and located so that you can reach a lot by bike (and train). Many thanks...
Super nice, in the middle of nature on the horse farm. You can cycle directly along the dyke to Wilhelmshaven. The Varel harbor with its small restaurants is also recommended. Lovely, great hosts who are always on hand with good tips. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Thank you for this beautiful place!!!
I was with my bike and tent at Martina's on a really beautiful property. I was allowed to pitch my tent in a free and super clean horse shelter. When my wife and daughter saw that I was practically surrounded by horses, they wanted to come straight away. For me, Martina's Hinterland Camp is absolutely worth recommending. I will gladly come again!
I enjoyed my stay very much, a beautiful pitch with a view of the horse meadows, I felt absolutely comfortable and am pleased that I was able to stay there, although I booked at very short notice, Ingo and Martina are very nice hosts who immediately made me feel welcome, thank you very much for that, I will be happy to come back.
Very friendly and helpful hosts! We were welcomed with fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden and also received help with a problem with our bus, as well as lots of good tips for the area. Pitch was wonderful overlooking wide meadows with trees, even with garden table and chairs, all very well maintained. From time to time a horse was led past, otherwise vieeeel rest. Absolutely recommendable. We come again!
