When you can wave to the sheep on the dike next to you, you know: You have arrived at the camp! Because the natural orchard meadow is protected from the wind behind a dike on the North Sea on the Eiderstedt peninsula between fields and sheep meadows.

Your spot on the mown piece of meadow is lined with grasses that sway in the North German wind and old apple trees that unfold their most beautiful blossoms in spring.

For day trips to the beach of St. Peter Ording, this spot is just as ideal as for exploring the Eiderstedt peninsula.

Good to know: The meadow is level and easily accessible - but in case of much rain it can get muddy, then four-wheel drive, off-road tires or sand boards become necessary!

This natural setting awaits you

  • Between trees

  • In a meadow

  • By the sea

  • With a shady place

  • Between fields

Activities

  • Surfing

  • Cycling

  • Playing by the water

  • Watching wildlife

  • Beach vacation

Sankt-Peter-Ording is about 15 minutes away by car.

  • Swimming

A swimming spot with outdoor shower is about 10 minutes away by bike.

  • Hiking

The dike is a "sleep dike", i.e. an old dike. Behind it is first a koog, i.e. artificially gained land area, only behind it is the outer dike, which protects the peninsula from the North Sea. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the sea.

Great spot, great sheep, great seagulls— even though it’s “just” a mowed meadow, it was one of the most beautiful and idyllic spots where we could camp off-grid. Sensational.

We were given a super nice welcome in the orchard with our dog. A wonderful spot surrounded by apple trees. The many varieties of apples also tasted great. Clear starry skies and absolute peace and quiet in the evening. We will be back.
