NicoleOur 4000sqm green, tree-filled property is located in a very small village in the countryside.
We live in the Old School from 1879. At least one tree is still from that time. Before the school stood here, a church was there, where now past the old half-timbered barn is our camping meadow overgrown with pasture grass and a large fireplace. And believer or not, churches were built on special spots and you can feel it.
Opposite there is our "mini-forest", where a hammock can be well attached and from there you can watch the sunset on the adjacent paddock of the neighboring horse farm.
We have a toilet with washbasin in the stable and also an outside washbasin, all of which you are welcome to use. We are campers ourselves and have an old VW LT.
If you don't want to get your wheels dirty, maybe you shouldn't drive over a meadow, but if you just want to enjoy silence or rather not, but real sounds, blades of grass in the wind, sparrows, owls, the crunching of branches when swinging in a hammock, you've come to the right place.
The width of the passage is not infinite: everything from a van to a large Sprinter fits past the barn. If in doubt, ask.
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. Or within 48 hours of booking, up to one day before arrival.
Between trees
Conifers, beeches, many shrubs and a huge ash tree line the meadow. Shady spots are easy to find.
Between fields
The meadow borders a field, but the plot is full of trees.
By a river/stream
The Ryck flows through the village, which was probably once called Hilda in the 13th century ;) It flows to the monastery ruins in Eldena (an excursion tip directly on the Bodden).
At/in the forest
The forest is a few hundred meters away.
In a meadow
The meadow is overgrown with pasture grass.
With a shady place
Toilet
Is outside the stable. Washbasin, toilet, small shelf, a stool. Fulfills its purpose.
Dogs welcome
If your dog lets our chickens, cat and rabbits live, of course he is welcome. We like dogs.
Cats welcome
Electricity
.. But in the stable can gladly charge smartphones and powerbanks
Water
We have washbasins in the WC and outside.
Cell phone reception
Campfire allowed
Barbecue allowed
Wheelchair accessible
The bathroom is at ground level, but the stable door is not too wide. The terrain has small humps - typical old farm, but no big hills. Please contact us if you have any questions!
Fenced
The area is fenced in, but every now and then a deer looks in and we don't lock the gate. You can also enter the field directly via a small gate.
Waste disposal
If it's a small bin bag, no problem, that fits in with us. We also have compost. But we can't store the garbage of a family of five ;)
Hiking
The meadows and the forest are wonderful, there is also the small wooded Fuchsberg, where you walk along the river Ryck.
Beach vacation
17km to the lido Wieck-Eldena
Other activities
Through the place flows the Ryck and there are beautiful routes to small forests
Swimming
Golf hotel with spa is 5km away, the Bodden 17km, the Baltic Sea 40km
Cycling
To be honest: MV is not exactly known for its great cycle paths and neither is our district. But there are lots of cyclists out and about and lots of leisure cyclists. You can do it, the nature is of course great and the closer you get to the university and Hanseatic city of Greifswald, the more likely it is that there will be good cycle paths.
Watching wildlife
Golf
5km away is the golf park Strelasund
