SilkeThis space is not suitable for the Grand California or self-builds based on the VW Crafter (max. unladen weight of 2.6 t). They are too heavy.
Caravans only the small models (up to 4m), motorhomes also only small models.
Please do not drive on the green area as it is moorland.
Can you fall in love with a lake? Anyone who knows the Flögeler See will answer that with a clear "yes". The nature here is enchantingly beautiful. The 155-hectare Flögeler See borders extensive moorland to the north. To the south-east, you will find hollowed-out steep banks on a Geest slope.
Your pitch is right on the lakeshore on a natural plot. Your host Silke is happy to offer you the mown meadow with its own jetty. A boat is waiting for you at the jetty so you can paddle on the lake. The lake is only knee-deep on the shore. So splashing around and swimming is also possible.
Water birds of all kinds live on the lake, and in winter whooper swans from Russia spend their vacation here. Directly opposite is the newly renovated moor information trail, which leads through the moor in an idyllic and informative way.
It is also possible to explore the moor with the moor train of the nearby MoorIZ (with café-restaurant, themed playground, interactive experience exhibition in the old peat works)
You can barbecue on your pitch, make a campfire and do whatever else you feel like doing. You can set off to explore the moor, surf on the lake or go to the beach at the mouth of the Elbe near Otterndorf. A medieval castle can be visited in Bad Bederkesa, where there is also a wonderful modern playground and a very nice restaurant by the lake (it is the 5 lakes area). Cycle tours from lake to lake.
Or you can do what works best here: nothing. Just sit and look at the lake, which looks different every hour of the day. But always beautiful to fall in love with.
