Here you are right in the heart of the beautiful Mosel-Saar-Ruwer hiking region!
The "Wasserliescher Panoramasteig," a hiking trail that winds through forests and vineyards, across meadows, and along a stream, passes right by the entrance to the site.
Just a few minutes’ walk from this residential street is a central meadow where you can camp. There is also a small clay-gravel area where up to two cars (with or without a roof tent) can park.
Since the access road is very narrow and steep, larger RVs unfortunately cannot park there.
On the natural site, there is a cabin with a table, seating, and electric lighting powered by a solar panel and a 12-volt battery. This way, you can stay dry in the evening if it happens to rain.
You can spend the night in the hut on your own sleeping pad if you move the chairs aside.
Next to the hut, you’ll find a fire pit and a dry composting toilet.
From the meadow, the path climbs quite steeply up the slope, where there are trees and shrubs and you have a great view. The surrounding area features vineyards, meadows, forests, and the Moselle River. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Moselle and about 10 minutes to the train station. So this nature spot is very accessible by both train and car, yet you still feel far away from civilization!
