Enjoy nature in the forest and relax by the lake, or take a refreshing swim.
We have two campsites on an old tennis court. Here, you can pitch your tent in a clearing in the forest. Vans or other vehicles must drive through a section of the forest; this is not a paved road. You’ll drive between the trees and bushes to reach the tennis court.
Our property features a beautiful mixed beech forest with very old trees and a small lake with an inlet and outlet, ensuring it always has fresh water and is wonderfully clear and cool. There are also fish in the lake, which you are welcome to fish for by arrangement.
This way, you’ll have your independence with direct access to nature and can enjoy your time in peace.
Barbecues on the property are also welcome by arrangement. There is a metal bucket for the ashes; please dispose of them only there.
There is a communal campfire site by the lake where you are welcome to build a fire.
Dogs are welcome, and we’d love it if they played a round with our Labrador mix, Yoko : )
In general, any special requests or needs can be discussed—just send us a message.
The area is great for short hikes and bike rides—the Weser Cycle Route, the Elbe Cycle Route, and the North Sea Coast Cycle Route are all nearby. It’s about a 30–45-minute drive to the sea, depending on whether you prefer a grassy beach like in Spieka-Neufeld or a sandy beach like in Cuxhaven Dünen.
Bremerhaven, with the Emigration Center, the Climate House, and the Weser River embankment, is half an hour away, and in the nearest larger town, Bad Bederkesa, there are shopping options, a historic castle you can visit, and a very beautiful lake to walk around.
In Hainmühlen itself, there’s a charming historic watermill with a millwheel that can be turned, as well as many farms, of course, and even more forest for walking and biking.
So you can explore the surrounding area, or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of our green oasis.
We look forward to seeing you—Kathrin, Vera, Andrea, and Yoko.

Very nice and really beautiful grounds with a lake. When camping, however, you should think about how to secure the tent beforehand, as the tennis court is a bit hard for pegs.
Super nice!
The most beautiful place I have ever camped on. I can only recommend it and everyone I spoke to was very nice.
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for privacy but also access to some amenities, nice hosts, beautiful nature, and for your dog to run around freely. 10/10!
