1-3 places on a farm in Franconian Switzerland

On our farm in Franconian Switzerland we have 2 - 3 pitches up to approx. 7 meters in length.

Tents on request.

When booking, please let me know which vehicle you are coming with.

Length, number of persons, approximate time of arrival, so that I can estimate which pitch is suitable for you.

We also have a nice place in the front yard which is not always available.

There is no wooden hut here, but there is a seating area in the green and the toilet is closer.

You can also stand on the dirt road that we only use for haymaking.

At the top of the wooden hut, 3 campers can also stand together very well, but this cannot be booked, but must be mentioned when booking, because I only put 3 together on request.

The new compost toilet has been installed since spring 2023 and can be used at any time.

Electricity is available on site, water can be filled up whenever we are at home.

Washing machine available on request for a fee.

Dry firewood can be purchased for the fire bowl.

Franconian Switzerland is great for hiking, climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, ...

A few meters behind our farm, which is located on the edge of the village, you can immediately start cycling on the cycle path.

In the next small town Hollfeld, 500 meters on the bike path, you can go for a nice meal, eat ice cream or go to the outdoor pool.

Here you can also stock up for your excursions at the butcher, bakery and supermarket.

A baker and a butcher's van come to the village on Tuesday lunchtimes.

Excursion destinations:

The natural swimming lake in Heiligenstadt is 16 km away and the canoe rental in Doos is 20 km away.

Pottenstein with its many excursion destinations such as stalactite caves, summer toboggan run etc. and hiking trails can be reached in 25 minutes.

Bayreuth and Bamberg can be reached in 30 minutes.

There are many castles and castle ruins to discover in Franconian Switzerland.

Rabenstein Castle, Rabeneck Castle, ...

At the farm:

There are many animals on our farm that you can pet and see.

Rabbits, chickens, quails, ducks, geese, turkeys, cats and dogs

The sheep and goats are usually not on the farm during the grazing season.

Children's bicycles, baby carriages, baby carriages and Kraxe are available for a small rental fee.

The playground with climbing tower is 50 meters away.

The Wiesent also runs along here and is still "small".

Fresh eggs and honey can also be purchased!

The lambs are fed with organic feed and have plenty of exercise in the countryside.

Meat from our lambs is usually available frozen on request, sausage in jars and smoked.

If the garden gives just enough, vegetables from the farm are also possible!

If I'm baking bread, there is delicious bread baked with organic grain and I can bake fresh rolls on request.

We use the sheep's wool to make pellets for the garden and there is also loose wool that I am happy to pack for you.

The farm work continues all year round.

Once a year we have to load sheep into the yard and once a year we have to unload sheep.

This is usually in April / May and in November for a few minutes.

In June / July, we also drive by with the small tractor for the hay harvest, which is certainly exciting for some people.

Poultry is slaughtered in October and November.
