Come to the old mill on the lake in Heichelheim near Weimar and stay overnight far from the crowds - in the middle of nature and enjoy the place with all its features. No matter if you stay with a camper, caravan or in a tent. You can fish at the lake, the children can play at the water, there are several fireplaces and seating areas. In addition, many cute animals (peacocks, chickens, running ducks, cats, ...) live on the farm. Here you will find peace and quiet and the kids can discover a lot and have fun.

The owner greeted us warmly and helpfully over the phone, which made a good first impression. The check-in process was straightforward, and the surroundings were pleasantly quiet. However, a few things didn’t meet our expectations: The bathroom, which was accessible only through the front door, was clean, but there were used towels hanging everywhere that we had to remove first. Also, only cold water was available for washing dishes. Unfortunately, parts of the place looked as if they’d been abandoned for a long time, with trash lying around. The owner is a nice host, and anyone looking primarily for peace and quiet might feel at home here. For us personally, however, the overall experience wasn’t quite right, and we felt the price of 32 euros wasn’t reasonable for what we got.
Jan, the owner, was friendly and helpful. However, the photos don’t show the parking spot behind the house. There was a cold-water connection for washing dishes. The bathroom was accessible through the front door and didn’t match the pictures. Overall, we didn’t think the price of 32 euros was reasonable.
Pretty pictures aren't everything. We arrived and immediately decided that we wouldn't feel at home here, so we left again…What a waste of money
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Very nice host. We would love to come back. A mirror in the bathroom would be an advantage.
