If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Very nice host. We would love to come back. A mirror in the bathroom would be an advantage.
Uncomplicated processing, quiet environment
It was sad to see how neglected this beautiful place was. There was a lot of garbage lying around. We had a nice view of a horse pasture, but right next to the buzzing electric fence. The lake described is difficult to find and reach due to tall stinging nettles and thistles and is boggy and full of midges, swimming not allowed.

We booked at short notice and everything worked out wonderfully. The pitch is as described and the accessibility of Jan was great. Water is available at the pitch, toilets are different than in the pictures but also available. All in all recommended. Really an idyllic spot.
A special place. The pitch with a view over the fields is a dream. The toilet and shower in the basement of a former hotel are excellent. But somehow also weird. A former hotel with restaurants in a mill that is now somehow supposed to be a meeting center. Jan the host has lots of good ideas but everything is also pleasantly chaotic... A place to come back to...
Very friendly host, we felt very comfortable between horses, goats and sheep!
The Cirkuswagen was easy to find but why you should stop there when there is no one far and wide? The access to our site via a concrete slab access road was bumpy and for higher WoMo's a challenge because of the Baumbewugses. Our site was a grassy area with a beautiful view next to a paddock. Electricity was possible with a long cable drum. The way to the shower and toilet in the basement was a little longer but the shower has held more than it promised. It was very spacious, the water pressure was very good and the water was very hot. We could not reach the host personally or by cell phone but someone on site took care of us. For our one night passing through, it was fine.
Too bad, when we arrived, there was no info or signs.... only barking dogs on extensive area. Finally we left again... Pity about the money
really a nice experience farm, we stayed only 1 night , so we did not have so much. Everything else was as described.
We had a great stay at Jan's. The grounds are so beautifully enchanted and there is so much to discover especially for kids
Poor accessibility of the yard master, poorly indicated where the pitches are. Nevertheless, very nice and polite farm staff and when Jan was there also very friendly. Many animals, trampoline, sandbox and children's vehicles available. Sanitary facilities in order (shower, toilet). Very nice mill in the middle of nature
We traveled over the weekend with 2 families and many children to celebrate a birthday. At the agreed time of arrival was on the farm far and wide no one to find. After an hour of searching and calling into all the doors "hello?!", we just set up. About 3 hours later, after dinner, Jan came and told us that we were standing wrong and actually can not stay there. But the next morning we didn't have to move again, what luck! The farm itself is a great adventure for children and offers a lot of animals, barbecue and fireplaces, lots of seating, water and electricity, as well as toilet and shower - there is really nothing missing. The lake is quickly reached after a short field walk and we even went swimming! All in all, we had a really nice weekend and an unforgettable children's birthday party! Oh yes, even a paddling pool Jan brought us over to refresh the children! Still a few signs (campsite, shower + toilet, barbecue + fireplace,...) put up and then it would be perfect and would save unnecessary trouble.
Super remote, quiet and suitable for us- come with the camper, enjoy all the amenities, water electricity etc available- view of nowhere and nice host. It hardly gets any better than this! Keep it up!!!

TOP backcountry experience. Good pitch among chickens, horses, sheep, dogs and medium quail. Super nice hosts. Great project. We like to come more often....
On the meadow stand place surrounded by nature I could fill very well. Every evening the sunset could be admired directly from there and partly there was also a small invasion of chickens and kittens. The many other animals, the beautiful mill and the spaciousness of the area made the stay an experience. There was nothing lacking. If you like to travel by bike, it is good to have the conditions explained to you beforehand, to have an all-terrain bike or to choose suitable bike paths :-). It was too warm for a visit to the dumpling museum. Thanks again for everything and gladly again!
A truly enchanting place. For young and old. We had a nice, quiet and shady pitch with a great view of the field. Although we had booked very spontaneously, everything went very quickly and uncomplicated. We are very happy to come back.
Wild and beautiful. Very nice quiet host. Highly recommended with children. Had a lot of fun with the kittens.
Pitch is only an old asphalt surface in the driveway area. The plot is natural with a beautiful windmill.
...just the journey to the estate was quite adventurous. Then we were received by the great current FöJ participant, who has shown us with dedication,friendliness and openness the premises, including flora and fauna. In this place there are giant rabbits, running ducks, cats, tomcats, dogs, chickens and roosters, as well as a chick rearing project and 2 hedgehogs, which are now allowed to hibernate there and tortoises, which are now already in hibernation. The multitude of animals left us amazed and cuddling. The accommodation is on the top floor of a mill. The room is very comfortably furnished and could be brought with a heater to chubby warm temperatures. In the evening we were allowed three times the wood the wood in a stove in the old dining room of the former restaurant. crackle. It was a treat for our eyes and ears. Jan is a very good host and was very concerned about our well-being!Unfortunately, the time was too short and we will definitely come again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
We had a nice stay on the large property surrounded by many animals and sympathetic hosts. We will be happy to come back again!
A place of strength. We were at the old mill for a week and were very warmly and lovingly welcomed and cared for. Our children could take care of chickens, cats, ducks and rabbits. We ended the evenings at the campfire and baked stick bread. Thank you dear Jan for the wonderful week, and that our 10 year old was allowed to carve and do handicrafts in the workshop, with that you gave him a huge joy that he will never forget! Weimar is easily accessible by bike in about half an hour. We were in Heichelheim by bus and caravan. You can also book an overnight stay in a hotel room or in the mill tower or just camp. Furthermore there is a vacation house. As soon as it is possible for us, we will come again...

Very nice and relaxed host. The site is a bit rudimentary on the access road to the site.
Unfortunately, no contact person on site, terrain confusing and abandoned, no signs, bathroom not found, shore power no longer worked in the morning.
Idyllic, quiet pitch with very friendly, pleasant hosts on a magical site. We will be very happy to come back if we ever find ourselves here again.
We spent a super nice time at the mill on the lake with Christian and his family. We were warmly welcomed with campfire in the late evening. The mill is a piece of paradise with all the animals and the beautiful garden. The place is very clean, super neat new toilet / shower. There is much to discover in the area. For children it is super suitable and as parents you can recover wonderfully from everyday stress. We will be happy to come back.
Very nice contact and trouble-free stay. The site was partly a little rocky, so you should perhaps not have the very thinnest pegs. Sanitary facilities were clean and accessible at all times. A fireplace was available, but we could not use it because of the short stay. Otherwise, an idyllic place with lots of animals and beautiful old mill. We hope that your expansion project will continue to take shape despite COVID and will be happy to come back if we are ever in the area again :)
A place with picturesque mill and dam within walking distance and near the Thuringian dumpling world Heichelheim for absolute rest and relaxation with fabulous livestock, which may also be supplied. Just the right thing for people who want to enjoy nature far away from everyday life.Supetleckere Thuringian Rostbratwurst and Brätel in Buttelstedt at Butcher Kolbe. Shower and toilet in very well-kept condition as well as shore power and fresh water available. Fireplace and grill possibility can be used. Super nice contact, many thanks to Jeannine.
