Welcome to Holle near Hildesheim!
We offer two private campsites in a rural setting on our farm—ideal for guests looking for a quiet and relaxed getaway in the countryside. We’ve deliberately chosen not to operate a traditional campground, but rather a small, personal guesthouse for stays of 1 to 2 nights.
The parking spots are particularly well-suited for small to medium-sized campers, vans, or RVs that appreciate a nature-oriented and personal place to stay. Our parking area is only suitable to a limited extent for very large trailers, very tall vehicles, or elaborate setups requiring a lot of additional space.
With us, you’ll stay in a pleasant rural setting with many beautiful excursion options in the region. In the municipality of Holle, for example, the Laves Cultural Trail around Derneburg Castle, Wohldenberg Castle with its hiking trails, the Derneburg Castle Art Museum, the Glass House with exhibitions and events, as well as the Ambergau and Innerste bike paths are all worth visiting. Our site is thus a wonderful starting point for walks, hikes, and bike tours.
A special highlight for our guests is our fach.werk Hofcafé right on site. There, you can enjoy artisanal ice cream from our own production and other delicacies. This way, you can combine a stay close to nature with genuine enjoyment at a special host location.
A small cabin with a toilet and a small sink is available for our guests. There is no shower. Electricity is available, as is a water supply by arrangement. Our site is therefore particularly suitable for guests looking for a simple, personal, and uncomplicated campsite.
Please note: Since you are staying on a farm in a rural setting, you may hear typical local noises from the street, farming, or farm operations. The restroom is not wheelchair accessible and is therefore unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair use.

We had a wonderful night camping with Nadine and Florian and can wholeheartedly recommend this spot. The large meadow with its exceptionally well-maintained lawn offers plenty of space and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere—we parked our camper van right under a tree. The hosts deserve special mention: Nadine and Florian are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. We had some lovely conversations and felt completely welcome. Another highlight was Nadine’s homemade ice cream—absolutely recommended. A toilet and a sink are available, and electricity is also provided upon request. The surroundings are pleasantly quiet, with the typical, unobtrusive sounds of country life. Overall, it’s a place to unwind and enjoy yourself. We can’t understand the earlier critical reviews—for us, it was simply a dream. Five stars plus.
I felt right at home—it’s a lovely, well-kept place, and Nadine and Florian are such easygoing and welcoming hosts!
We had a wonderful stay in a meadow behind the farm, right in the middle of a lovingly tended garden. There’s a restroom and sink in a little wooden shed, and you simply have to try the homemade ice cream. We’ll definitely be back.
There’s room for improvement at this campsite. Unfortunately, you don’t park on the large meadow but between the tree and the barn. At 2.70 m tall, it was a tight squeeze driving under the tree. With two campers (a tandem), this area is too narrow; there wouldn’t be any space left for an awning or tarp.Since only a narrow space between the stones is clear, vehicles cannot easily leave or re-enter the site. Water is listed as available; this refers to well water next to the restroom. Our canister was then filled with drinking water by Florian, so this is not suitable for campers who wish to connect to a permanent water supply. Electricity was provided via a cable reel, which is also not ideal for two campers. The restroom is shared with café guests during opening hours. The restroom (high natural stone step) and the access paths are NOT suitable for people who rely on a wheelchair, for example. You’re right next to a horse farm where it’s quite noisy due to agricultural vehicles. Noise is also an issue: construction noise and, for such a small village, a surprising amount of road traffic (even at night); you can barely hear the chickens on the property. We had booked two nights but then left after an unpleasant incident. Not only were there constantly inconsiderate guests walking around us—it got even worse. Teenagers on e-scooters rode past us.The fact that there was very little space between them and our trailer/towing vehicle was unpleasant enough, but the fact that the teenagers could have injured our dog without our dog fence is something that should never have happened. Florian did apologize for this, but we left anyway (we did not receive a refund). We’re giving it two stars because Florian was very nice and helpful. For self-sufficient, compact, and low-profile campers, this spot is well-suited for a one-night stay or a stopover. ________________ Host’s response: ________________ Thank you very much for your feedback. We regret that your expectations were not fully met this time. As a private host on an active farm, we deliberately do not offer a traditional campground experience, but rather an authentic, rural experience. We take your comments seriously: We have already clarified the description regarding accessibility as well as electricity and water supply (no hookups directly at the site). The suitability for large trailers is now also more clearly indicated. The situation with the teenagers was an unfortunate isolated incident, for which we apologized on site. We are pleased that our helpfulness was nevertheless mentioned positively.
