We offer a quiet location between Ohlstadt and Murnau with views of the Zugspitze and the Alpine foothills.
On weekends when the weather is nice, you can watch the gliders as they circle overhead. The truly brave are also welcome to take a flight and try out our hobby.
Our campground is available during the flying season from April through the end of October and is equipped with restroom facilities. Important note: Since this is an airfield, we ask that you keep dogs on a leash at all times.

A unique campsite at the glider airfield! Everything was hassle-free; Achim messaged us in advance to let us know where we could park. We found the area for washing dishes, the restroom, etc., on our own, but it wasn’t hard. The restrooms could be cleaned a little more often. Great experience—I’d definitely come back. Thanks!

On first impressions I was a little dubious as there were multiple motorhomes and caravans there, but turns out they were just for storage and we were alone. It was a very quiet night. We walked the dogs and saw the mountain views, then watched all the plane activity the next day while we had a lazy morning. Great facilities too.
It's a good location for a trip to Murnau/Staffelsee. There's plenty of space. However, the mountain panorama is obscured by trees. It looks different in the photos.
