It's a good location for a trip to Murnau/Staffelsee. There's plenty of space. However, the mountain panorama is obscured by trees. It looks different in the photos.
An open space with plenty of freedom—I'd go back anytime
We stayed with Achim for one night and were immediately blown away by the special atmosphere. Camping right next to a glider airfield, plus that gorgeous view of the mountains… truly something very special and a completely new experience for us! Achim had kindly let us know in advance that it would be a bit busier that weekend. We didn’t realize, however, that a wedding with about 150 guests was taking place at the same time. We didn’t notice a thing about the wedding itself, though. On the campground, though, there was a large group of gliding enthusiasts from the Cologne-Sieg area who pretty much completely surrounded our van and tents. 😉 The young people were all very friendly and well-mannered, but the group certainly made its presence felt! We actually felt that if we’d allowed a couple with their rooftop tent to camp UNDER our Fiamma awning as well, they would have gratefully accepted that too. At the same time, though, there were fellow campers who were very helpful the next morning😄 For a one-night stopover, we just took it in stride and drove on toward South Tyrol around 9 a.m. the next morning. The restrooms were totally fine… at one point the toilet paper ran out, but as a camper, you’re better off bringing your own anyway. 😉 Bottom line: A truly great and extraordinary location. Of course, we can’t blame Achim for the somewhat unconventional behavior of the other campers. And that’s exactly where you notice the difference between alternative camping and a classic four- or five-star camping resort. Thanks to Achim and his team for the stay… and all the best to you all!

Nice spot, pretty quiet (you can hear the highway a little bit, but I didn't find it bothersome). I would book this spot again in a heartbeat.
We were very disappointed with the RV park at the Ohlstadt glider airfield. You can’t see the Alpine panorama from there—just a ruin and various outbuildings that are clearly showing their age. The restroom facilities leave a lot to be desired. The peaceful atmosphere and the airfield’s restaurant make up for it a little. Unfortunately, we can’t give it more than two out of five stars.
Spent a weekend there—everything was great. Very quiet location and good bathroom facilities. A good starting point for bike rides, though otherwise perhaps a bit too remote. 5 out of 5 stars

The place is pleasant, clean, and everything is easy to find. Communication was great, too. The next day, we were even able to take a guest flight with the club. Thank you very much!
The host was very responsive and super friendly. This place has everything you need—from electricity to clean bathrooms, topped off by an amazing view! There’s also a restaurant nearby with great Google reviews. Unfortunately, we couldn’t try it out because it was closed. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it.
We had a very quiet night on the site and were even surprised by a short helli landing at dinner in the evening 😊. Electricity is also available and the toilets are all very clean. There was also a wonderful view the next morning. We can highly recommend the site.

We received a very warm welcome. We liked it very much. Especially the peace and quiet and the view. I didn't realize beforehand how exactly it works with the gliders. But since you can get as close as 15 meters, which I find very interesting, we are now smarter😅. Unfortunately, we didn't find the cassette emptying system but didn't ask again. Everything you need for a few quiet days is there. Electricity, shower and toilet. Thanks until next time.
