Pitches at the Heuerhaus Balkum

During the pandemic, we realized how lucky we are to live on a large property in nature. We wanted and want to share this good fortune and are therefore looking forward to our 5th season as hosts!

What started in 2020 with 1 pitch and the possibility to use a toilet has developed over the years into one of our favorite leisure activities - welcoming great people, some of whom we now count among our friends, on now 3 pitches & in a converted construction trailer!

In the beginning we only had the pitch and the toilet, but now we have electricity everywhere, various water connections and a solar shower outside, as well as a fridge, sink and cooking facilities in the house.

If you don't like dogs or are disturbed by the sound of a cowshed or roosters crowing, you'll probably be happier somewhere else. Anyone traveling in a group or wanting to party loudly will certainly be too.

On the other hand, if you want to set up your motorhome, caravan, tent, roof tent or folding tent in a lively farming community in the cultural landscape of Lower Saxony for a few days and relax, this is the place for you.

If you are traveling alone, you will find a really comfortable bed, chest of drawers, armchair, a few books and no WLAN, but plenty of fresh air and relaxation.

Barbecues, hiking or geocaching are always possible. To visit the heated outdoor pool (open from May to September) or a grocery store, you need a vehicle. Apart from the school bus, there is no public transport here.

We do not offer waste disposal. However, coffee grounds are a great fertilizer and deter slugs. Black water can be drained at one of the stations in the area.

At the weekends, we often have a campfire or barbecue together. These are always great opportunities to catch up with each other. We have already made many great memories with our guests!

We look forward to welcoming you to our home. As we all work or go to school, we can only welcome you from 4 pm during the week. At the weekend we are more flexible and can welcome you earlier. We therefore ask you to let us know in advance approximately when you will be arriving so that we can make sure that someone is at home.

Please plan your stay with us well in advance and book a few days in advance. Even if the system allows you to book immediately on the same day, we would like to prepare for your visit and possibly take other dates into account.
