Parking space 1 at the Balkum farmhouse

Since 2020, we have had the pleasure of welcoming guests and sharing the natural surroundings of our 1.2-hectare property with them. Surrounded by a tall hedge, the natural orchard offers two large spaces for mobile homes of all kinds. In the adjacent woods, even the hottest summer days can be enjoyed in the shade of the trees.

The house, which has a 24/7 accessible toilet and a small area with washing-up facilities, a refrigerator, a coffee machine, a stove, and a small shelf with homemade goods and eggs, is about 75 meters away.

Around the house, you will meet our three dogs, who are not exactly small and notoriously cuddly. However, they are not allowed on the meadow, so guests with dogs are also welcome. For nice dog walks or other strolls in our lively farming community in the cultural landscape of Lower Saxony, we have created an access point at the end of the meadow.

Of course, both places offer electricity. You can get drinking water "one tree further." A solar shower allows you to refresh yourself after long hot days. In our garden, we grow vegetables, fruit, salads, and herbs. We do not use any chemical pesticides, but instead use our ducks' healthy appetite to keep slugs and the like at bay. For a small fee, we are happy to harvest something for you there. In addition to relaxing, reading, going for walks, and cuddling dogs, you can go geocaching, visit the heated outdoor pool in Ueffeln, which is a good 2 km away, from May to September, drive to the cloth-making town of Bramsche, or visit the peace city of Osnabrück. The Alfsee, with its famous water ski facility, is also not far away. However, there is no public transportation. For specific tips, including good restaurants or shopping opportunities, please feel free to contact us! We look forward to welcoming you. Since we all work or go to school, we can only welcome you after 4 p.m. on weekdays. On weekends, we are more flexible and can welcome you earlier. We therefore ask you to let us know in advance when you will be arriving so that we can ensure that someone is at home. Please plan your stay with us in good time and book a few days in advance. Even though the system allows same-day bookings, we would like to prepare for your visit and take other appointments into account.
