We offer a pitch in the land of the white mountains below a huge salt mountain with a beautiful landscape and views as far as the Wasserkuppe & Inselsberg. We have electricity, water and sanitary facilities, all of which can be used for a small extra charge. Anyone who needs W-LAN is of course also catered for. A rental car is also available on site. Shopping facilities are available in the immediate vicinity. There is also a tent and a fireplace which can be used, where you can spend nice hours. If you want to hike or cycle in our beautiful nature, you are in good hands here, with a historical background, as we are located directly on the inner-German border and the Green Belt runs through us. Culturally there is also a lot to experience in the area, e.g. Merkes adventure mine, Wasserkuppe, Inselsberg, Wartburg and much more.

On the evening of our arrival, a heavy rainstorm with strong winds swept over us. Our hosts kindly checked to see if we were okay or if we needed any help. The restroom, housed in a container, is spacious, has brand-new fixtures, and is very clean. We felt very comfortable there.
So far, so good. Nice welcome.
The Köhler family gave us a very warm welcome; communication was great, the campsites were spacious and level, and the restrooms and showers were spotless. There was even a bonfire on Saturday evening. We really enjoyed our stay. We’ll be back. Andy & Bine
