Unfortunately, the campsite is very close to the road, which had a lot of traffic the night we stayed there. The common area is very convenient, and the restrooms are clean and new.
We stayed with Verena and Andreas for 4 nights and felt very comfortable there. The bathrooms were new and well-maintained, and the common room was a great place to watch soccer. The well-stocked fridge with drinks, eggs, and sausage, along with the kitchenette available for use, were perfect. We used the bread roll service and had fresh rolls every morning. Verena and Andreas were always eager to help, attentive, and responsive to any questions we had, making our stay simply wonderful. There were lots of animals to look at, and we even got to pet the rabbits. Peppa, the farm dog—a sweet little thing—was a loyal member of our breakfast table 😉, though she didn’t get any of our food. One small drawback to be aware of: the campsite is located on a busy road, so you’ll be woken up early in the morning. We highly recommend Verena and Andreas’s place and can definitely see ourselves staying there again. Warm regards from the Rheingau ☺️
Unfortunately, we were only there for one night; next time we’ll stay for two. The farm is beautiful. Andreas is a great host. He taught us so much about farming—it was better than any lesson for the kids. The bathrooms were really nice, very well-maintained, and new. Very kid-friendly—the donkey pasture is right across from the campsite.
