The Zinkbächlewiese, Site No. 2: "Available from Easter through November... but NOT when there is snow! Please take a look at this AG." P2 is located at the very edge of our organic vacation sanctuary, right where the Zinkbach stream has its source....which flows into the Elz. You can look down into the Elz Valley; this is the southernmost part of the Black Forest within the Emmendingen district, bordering the Breisgau region, and you can walk over to the Kinzig Valley, the Ortenau region in the central Black Forest.

The campsite is now graveled and features a fire pit and a three-legged grill. Just like at Farm Meadow Site No. 1, there’s a seating set and a table here. It’s sunny with a view down into the valley, shady next to the black alders by the stream, and behind it begins the Märchenwald—*the forest of my childhood, which is simply pure nature*... You’re about 100 meters from the farm, and you have electricity here as well. It’s very peaceful, with only the “Hasenwägeli” next to it. A little further ahead on the left is the “Hofwiesenplatz,” but everyone has their own privacy, and high up on the right is the “Eselplatz.” Each spot is screened from view and surrounded by meadows, woods, a stream, and the campground facilities.

What this place offers

Basics

  • Toilet

freely accessible in the fitness room at any time

  • Dogs welcome

Keep them on a leash on the farm grounds; they may run free in the designated area. Up to 5 animals are included in the rental fee. No extra charges

  • Cats welcome

Cats are also welcome, but we have three outdoor cats of our own who roam their territory—I’d count up to five animals in total. No extra charge.

  • Horses welcome

We have donkeys of our own, so we can't take in other people's horses.

  • Electricity

Electricity is available right at Site 2, and there is a freezer and refrigerator for shared use in the farm shop.

  • Shower

freely accessible in the fitness room at any time

  • Water

Yes, in the courtyard, the D2 network, or about 100 meters away up the Hofstraße—all networks work there,

In the summer, you can barbecue in the large communal area with two grills at the front of the yard, in the brick-lined fire pit. Deadwood is available for collection in our forest.

  • Firewood

Around the farm, you can collect dry firewood for your campfire in our forest for free,

or purchase pre-cut firewood by the box.

    5€ per usage/unit

  • Barbecue allowed

Equipped with a three-legged grill, seating, and lounge chairs; during the dry months, the area by the forest is questionable due to fire hazard, but the grill area is safe.

Can be shared at the farm; this is the only option available here

  • Public transport

Heiburg Pass every 2 hours on B 294

  • Wheelchair accessible

  • Other (house rules)

    -Chemical toilets can be disposed of in town;

this is NOT possible at our biological treatment plant.

-No wild parties... feel free to hang out outside by the campfire for as long as you like... but please keep the noise down after 10 p.m. The wildlife around us has a right to peace and quiet, too.

Here you’ll find food from our Bioland farm, preserved and jarred by Grandma Rösch herself, as well as breakfast essentials and Black Forest products made by GlücksStübli

  • Waste disposal

Yes, we accept sorted trash, but no non-resident trash...otherwise, there is a fee of €9.50 per trash bag.

  • Sauna

In gloomy weather in the spring or fall, yes; in the summer when it's hot, no. The restroom and shower would also be here.

  • Grey water disposal

Yes, there are plenty of drainage points available. We have an organic sewage treatment system; chemical toilets are NOT permitted here, but they can be emptied in Oberprechtal, about 7 km away.

  • EV charging

YES, we have 3 charging stations for recharging batteries.

Please let us know when you book if you would like a charging spot during your stay. The cost is €0.50 per kWh, which will be settled in cash along with the visitor’s tax at the end of your stay.

    0.5€ per usage/unit

  • Pool

Outdoor pool filled with 49,000 liters of spring water

  • Hot tub

The hot tub can be used during cold, wet weather...but in the summer, to conserve water (from our own spring), it must remain empty. The cost for two uses is €50, including 1,300 liters of spring water per fill, cleaning, and firewood.

  • Playground

at the front of the yard, approx. 70 m

  • Washing machine

is available for free at Grandma Rösch's in the Orangery; you must bring your own detergent.

  • Kitchen

The barbecue area has everything you need for cooking: a two-burner stove, an oven, pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery.

Activities

  • MTB

Yes, there are many forest trails, but not all farmers are happy about it...so please stay on the designated paths

  • Golf

Not here, but in Gutach, about 15 km away, with a 9-hole course

  • Swimming

Private pool, 4 meters wide x 8.5 meters long and 1.5 meters deep

  • Playing by the water

There is a swivel pump at the playground, a stream, and a natural pond at the edge of the forest

  • Farm vacation

You can help out on the farm, depending on the time and weather...all the animals are tame, and you can visit them anytime—just bring some treats (carrots and dry bread)

  • Hiking

Hiking trails lead off in every direction right from the farmyard... there are so many, even I don't know them all.

  • Climbing

Not here, but in Freiburg, about 30 km away, there is an indoor climbing gym,

  • Cycling

It's fine for mountain biking—there are tons of trails—but it's too steep for regular cycling; for professional riders, it's a good mountain.

  • Watching wildlife

If you're up early enough, you'll see and experience: hares, deer (you'll especially hear them bellowing), foxes, hawks, woodpeckers, eagle owls, owls, badgers, wild boars, and countless mice and other small animals

  • Wine tasting

We offer distillery tours during the winter months; please let us know if you're interested

  • Other activities

Here, you can do "almost" anything that brings you joy,

but NO living creature should be bothered or disturbed in the process. Talk to us, and a lot is possible. We, too, are nature lovers... Warm regards, Natalia

  • Horse riding

We have two donkeys: Pearl and Filou. We work with them when the weather is dry, and then, AFTER grooming and feeding them, we go for a walk with the donkeys...

  • Thank you so much for your hospitality. We had an unforgettable family vacation. A special highlight for the boys was walking with the donkeys and riding the tractor. Plus, the pool was a wonderful way to cool off! We’d love to come back again!

  • I don't even know where to start! Natalia and her family are wonderful hosts. Natalia and Grandma Rösch are the kind of people you can—and want to—learn from. Seeing the world through their eyes changes your own perspective on things. We’re happy and grateful that we were able to be a part of this—and that we’ll continue to be! We’ll be back as soon as we can! It was just like Alice in Wonderland—there’s something to see, discover, and experience everywhere! We miss you already! Thank you for being exactly who you are!!! A little slice of paradise!

  • It was just soooo wonderful, and we would have loved to stay longer than two weeks. Natalia and her family welcomed us so warmly; we felt very much at home. We had everything we needed, and no matter what came up, Natalia was always there to help and offer advice. The farm is cared for with so much love. It’s great to have the animals around—you can pet and feed them. I fell in love with the donkeys Filou and Pearl—such wonderful animals. The pool is great, and for kids there’s a whole garage full of ride-on toys. There’s also a separate room with a pool table, a ping-pong table, and tons of other toys. You can play basketball on the farm, and there’s even a small gym. I haven’t had such a relaxing vacation in a long time, and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks for this wonderful time❤️

  • We had a wonderful time! It’s a little spot where you can just forget the stress of everyday life and be surrounded by nothing but nice people. There were plenty of hiking opportunities for us and our two four-legged friends, and afterward we could enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm. We especially want to mention the warmth we were shown and the welcoming atmosphere that permeates the entire farm.

  • We had a wonderful time with Natalia, her family, and all the amazing animals. Our spot was perfect for our tent. Having separate washing and shower facilities was great. There are plenty of opportunities to play or simply enjoy nature, feed the animals, ride donkeys, go on excursions, unwind, chill by the pool, or have a water fight... If you’re looking for a little slice of paradise, you’ll find it there :-)
