The Zinkbächlewiese Spot No. 2, "Available from Easter through November... but NOT when there is snow! Please take a look at this notice" P2 is located at the very edge of our organic vacation sanctuary, right where the Zinkbach stream originates....which flows into the Elz. You look down into the Elz Valley; you’re still in the southern Black Forest—the last part of the Emmendingen district in the Breisgau region—and can walk over to the Kinzig Valley, the Ortenau region in the central Black Forest.

The path and area are now graveled; it has a fire pit and a three-legged grill. Just like at the farm meadow area No. 1, there is a seating set and a table here. It’s sunny with a view down into the valley, shaded next to the black alders by the stream, with our fire pond and fish in the corner, and behind it begins the Fairy Tale Forest—my childhood forest, which is simply pure nature... You’re about 100 meters from the farm, and you have electricity here as well. Very peaceful, with only the Hasenwägeli next to it. A little further ahead, on the left, is the Hofwiesenplatz; however, everyone has their privacy, and high up on the right is the Eselplatz. Everyone has privacy and is surrounded by meadows, forest, a stream, and the grounds.

This natural setting awaits you

  • At/in the forest

The forest is 30 meters away

  • Between trees

next to them, the black alders, and behind them, the forest

  • On a farm

We run a Bioland sanctuary farm

  • With a shady place

is bordered by woods on two sides

  • By a river/stream

Zinkbächle (which originates deep in the forest)

  • In a meadow

In front of it, a soccer field and a view down to the meadow

  • In the mountains

We are at the top of the Heidburg Pass, on the mountain

freely accessible in the fitness room at any time

Here you’ll find food from our Bioland farm, preserved and jarred by Grandma Rösch herself, as well as breakfast essentials and Black Forest products made by GlücksStübli

Yes, we accept sorted trash, but no non-resident trash...otherwise, there is a fee of €9.50 per trash bag.

  • Sauna

In gloomy weather in the spring or fall, yes; in the summer when it's hot, no. The restroom and shower would also be here.

  • Grey water disposal

Yes, there are plenty of drainage points available. We have an organic sewage treatment system; chemical toilets are NOT permitted here, but they can be emptied in Oberprechtal, about 7 km away.

  • EV charging

YES, we have 3 charging stations for recharging batteries.

  • Playground

at the front of the yard, approx. 70 m

  • Washing machine

is available for free at Grandma Rösch's in the Orangery; you must bring your own detergent.

Activities

  • MTB

  • Swimming

Private pool, 4 meters wide x 8.5 meters long and 1.5 meters deep

  • Playing by the water

There is a swivel pump at the playground, a stream, and a natural pond at the edge of the forest

  • Farm vacation

You can help out on the farm, depending on the time and weather...all the animals are tame, and you can visit them anytime—just bring some treats (carrots and dry bread)

  • Hiking

Hiking trails lead off in every direction right from the farmyard... there are so many, even I don't know them all.

  • Kayaking, canoeing

We don't offer that, but you can contact the canoe club and maybe snag a spot on a tour

  • Climbing

Not here, but in Freiburg, about 30 km away, there is an indoor climbing gym,

  • Cycling

It's fine for mountain biking—there are tons of trails—but it's too steep for regular cycling; for professional riders, it's a good mountain.

  • Fishing

This is not available through us, but through the Winden Fishing Club

  • Watching wildlife

If you're up early enough, you'll see and experience: hares, deer (you'll especially hear them bellowing), foxes, hawks, woodpeckers, eagle owls, owls, badgers, wild boars, and countless mice and other small animals

  • Tennis

Not here, but there's a tennis club down in the town of Elzach

  • Other activities

Here, you can do "almost" anything that brings you joy,

but NO living creature should be bothered or disturbed in the process. Talk to us, and a lot is possible. We, too, are nature lovers... Warm regards, Natalia

  • Horse riding

We have two donkeys: Pearl and Filou. We work with them when the weather is dry, and then, AFTER grooming and feeding them, we go for a walk with the donkeys...

We had a wonderful time! It’s a little spot where you can just forget the stress of everyday life and be surrounded by nothing but nice people. There were plenty of hiking opportunities for us and our two four-legged friends, and afterward we could enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm. We especially want to mention the warmth we were shown and the welcoming atmosphere that permeates the entire farm.

We had a wonderful time with Natalia, her family, and all the amazing animals. Our spot was perfect for our tent. Having separate washing and shower facilities was great. There are plenty of opportunities to play or simply enjoy nature, feed the animals, ride donkeys, go on excursions, unwind, chill by the pool, or have a water fight... If you’re looking for a little slice of paradise, you’ll find it there :-)

Fantastic place in an absolutely idyllic setting. The hosts, animals and other campers are super friendly. Nothing was missing, even for the campers there is a shower, spring water and electricity. There is a place to wash up and a small drying room (useful for rainy days). There is also a small farm store with a fridge, baked rolls, delicious local honey and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Really a dream, we will be back!

If you're looking for a wildly romantic place to get away from it all, then you've come to the right place! We were here as family campers and found a little paradise. Whether it was a pizza oven, a pool or grooming donkeys. Everything we needed was here. We also met a warm family who welcomed us with open arms. We will miss the conversations along the way because we have long since taken all the inhabitants of Fleckli to our hearts. Oh and helping out is welcome here, we were happy to do so.
