Accommodation
The little house full of stars, which we affectionately call the "Star House," is located right next to the Heidschnucken pasture. Here you can sleep wonderfully, cook a little something, and make yourself comfortable...😊. The cottage is located on the meadow behind our farm, with an unobstructed view of the countryside. There are also parking spaces for our camper guests scattered across the large meadow.
The Star Cottage is more of a "glamping" accommodation than a vacation home and does not have a bathroom. A shower, toilets, and a large sink and dishwashing area are located in the sanitary cottage about 55 m away, which is also used by our camper guests.
Our 400-year-old farm is located on the outskirts of Wachendorf, at the foot of the northern Eifel. Here you will find plenty of space on the large lawn, a campfire in the evening, a clay sauna, products from our Heidschnucken sheep, barbecue packages, and chilled drinks. We look forward to seeing you! Facilities The cabin is equipped with a spacious double bed and two sofa elements (lying surface: 67x150cm and 67x195cm), which can be used as additional beds. Bed linen and towels are included.
The cottage has a kitchen unit with a 2-burner hotplate, a standard refrigerator, and a dining table, as well as basic equipment including pots and pans, a kettle, cutting knives, cooking spoons, a selection of teas, a coffee pot (French press), crockery, glasses, and cutlery for 4 people. Fresh water and a sink are available in the sanitary building, 55 meters away. There is a 20-liter canister of drinking water in the cottage. (If anything else is missing, please let us know; we also live on the farm and can usually help.) Outside & fire pit All our guests organize themselves with and among each other on the large, always freshly mowed lawn. You can lie in the sun, relax, play, and use the fire pit and grill. A table, chairs, and a beautiful parasol are available exclusively for you right next to the star hut. There is a free fire pit 15 m from the hut. A wheelbarrow full of firewood is available for €10. Sanitary facilities
The sanitary facilities are 55 m away. There is a very nice & spacious open-air shower, naturally with cold & hot water and comfortable privacy screens, a large sink, and separate toilets with sinks for girls and boys. In addition, there is an indoor shower with unisex toilets in the courtyard building. The clay sauna
We built our sauna ourselves, and it is heated with a wood-burning stove. The pleasant warmth radiating from the thick clay walls can be enjoyed while taking in the view of the garden. We offer the sauna for exclusive use at a flat rate of €70. This includes: wood for firing, lighting and heating the sauna, as well as instruction on how to use it.
Food and drink The large refrigerator in the shed contains cold drinks, from regional beer to Fritz-Schorle, which are self-service and reasonably priced. We also offer products from our white-horned Heidschnucken sheep and other items for barbecuing. In cooperation with a small regional bakery, we offer a delivery service with fresh bread rolls.
About us We are sound play builders, designers, and multi-craftsmen. For almost 30 years, we have been living and working here on the farm in the Eifel, a historic, listed half-timbered square farmstead, the oldest building of which is around 400 years old.
The workshop & factory shop The farm is home to our workshop for musically tuned wind chimes. Here you can gain an insight into the production of handmade wind chimes and musical instruments.

You will also find gongs and singing bowls, musical instruments from all over the world, all kinds of things to play with and decorate, and a large, cozy range of star-themed products.
The white horned Heidschnucken sheep Our herd is outside all year round. By keeping them, we are making an important contribution to the preservation of traditional farm animals. You can purchase sausage, meat, skins, and other products directly from us on site. On request, we will be happy to send you a list of everything currently available.

Important information to avoid misunderstandings: This is not a traditional vacation home—it is a special place! Dear guests, please read the following information carefully:
1. Check-in 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.: Please always arrange an appointment with us before arrival. When you arrive, please stop at the small stop sign, call us, and wait for us. We will pick you up there. Under no circumstances should you stop or park on the Almweg or on the neighboring property!
2. There is no toilet directly in the Sternehäuschen. 55 m away, in the sanitary building, there is a toilet for girls and boys as well as a unisex toilet in the courtyard building. Please leave the toilets as you would like to find them. 3. There is no running water and no shower directly in the Sternehäuschen. In the sanitary building, there is a spacious, well-protected open-air shower with hot water and an indoor shower in the courtyard building. 4. There is a fire pit with a large fire bowl 15 meters from the Sternehäuschen, which must always remain on the concrete slabs. This fire pit can also be used by campers. Campers have access to additional fire pits at the campsites. We provide our guests with two tripods with grill grates for barbecuing. Firewood is available for €10 per wheelbarrow.
5. Waste disposal: There is a large trash can for residual waste in the Sternehäuschen. Cardboard/paper, yellow dot and organic waste are collected separately. Please let us know if the trash can is full or if you need paper bags for organic waste.
Due to the possibility of foxes, no trash may be stored outside the cottage. 6. Intermediate cleaning of the Sternehäuschen depends on the length of your stay and can be arranged individually with us. 7. We do not have a cleaning service that tidies up after guests on the premises! Please ensure that the cottage is as clean as you would like to find it yourself.
8. We have a large, freshly mowed lawn where all guests can gather. Otherwise, we do not have any written yard rules, but we do have clear ideas about order and cleanliness. 9. We have nine neighbors on our large property, with whom we interact respectfully and rather reservedly.
10. We can only allow dogs to run free if they are well-trained and if there is no possibility of them barking at, confronting, or otherwise attacking other people. Dogs that are prone to such attacks may only be allowed on a leash. 11. Flying drones is not permitted on our farm and is very unpopular throughout the village.
12. Check out between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m.: This is mandatory! Please come to the courtyard and ring the bell. We are usually in the factory shop or in the office around the corner from 9:00 a.m. and on weekends from 10:00 a.m.

200 meters away, there is a farm shop selling eggs, juice, vegetables, and fruit (seasonal only), as well as pasta and potatoes, but no dairy products or baked goods. There are a variety of shopping opportunities in Bad Münstereifel, 3 km away. The town is known for its outlet center, which is nestled in the historic old town.
