Nature camping "Fuchseloch" near Forchtenberg

Description:

Located 5 km from the pilgrimage site of Schöntal Abbey and the home of Götz von Berlichingen, the “Fuchseloch” lies in the beautiful Kochertal valley—as we call our approximately 3,000 m² of sloping, mostly fenced-in meadowland—above the industrial village of Ernsbach (approx. 1,100 residents).

On the flat front section, there is a barbecue area and a wooden cabin. Parking is available about 100 m from the property. However, access is only possible on foot. Driving onto the property is only partially possible and requires a suitable vehicle. The rear section is flat at first but becomes increasingly steep. Nevertheless, the “Fuchseloch” offers plenty of space to run around and play. Perfect for families with children and dogs who would like to treat themselves to a quiet getaway in the Hohenlohe region, or for larger groups looking for a neutral spot to reunite, or for couples who simply want to spend a romantic night outdoors. The site is secluded—nudism permitted.

Culture and Cuisine:

The local restaurant “Zum Lamm” is a culinary delight for connoisseurs of Swabian cuisine. Or you can visit the Bistro am Kocherwerk. In addition to hot and cold beverages, it offers cakes, snacks, and small delicacies. You can round off your visit to the Kocherwerk on the sun terrace. Furthermore, the idyllic area offers perfect opportunities for hiking, for example to the Forchtenberg castle ruins—the birthplace of Sophie Scholl. During the hot summer months, the Kocher River with its sunbathing lawn at the sports field offers soothing relaxation and a chance to cool off. The Tiroler See, located 5 km away, also offers fun for young and old alike with its volleyball court.

Facilities:

There is ample seating available both inside and outside the cabin. Additional lounge chairs are available outside. Please bring your own dishes and plates. For the children, there is a small sandbox with toys. Wood is available in limited quantities. Please use it thoughtfully so that the next guest can enjoy it as well. Two 20L water canisters filled with tap water are available for your use. Please do not drink it. The generator is gasoline-powered.

The price of €15 is per person per night! Additional bookings are possible. Flexible check-in and check-out times are possible upon request.
