On the edge of the picturesque little town of Ziegenrück, one of the most beautiful campsites in the region awaits you. The location is on a peninsula, with no through traffic. There are various covered seating areas for free use right next to the pitch. The Saale river is only 400 meters away.

The nearest bus stop is 900 meters away. The "Thüringer Meer" hiking bus also stops there. The bus travels around the Thuringian Sea 3 times a day and bicycles can also be transported.

There are various circular hiking trails around Zigenrück. These are maintained by the local trail warden. There is a guided hike every Wednesday. A certified quality hiking trail also leads through the village.

The Thuringian Sea is a beautiful MTB region. Trails by the water or with far-reaching views invite you to explore, and guided tours are also offered.

The Saaleradweg runs through Ziegenrück. It was recently awarded 3 stars by the ADFC.

A nice spot on the lawn or under the trees. 19 euros might be a bit much.
The host was super friendly! You can start hiking right away—it’s a beautiful area. There’s a parent-child home next door and a hiking trail, so people come by from time to time (which was fine with us). Unfortunately, the trash cans were overflowing, so we took all of ours with us. We’d definitely come back for a night 💚
Everything is working perfectly. A very pleasant stay
We really liked the spot at the Waldbühne. It’s very quiet, high above the town of Ziegenrück.
