Our campsites are in a beautiful location! In the evening, you have a great view of the sunset, and in the morning, the sunrise.

Hardly any—if any—cars drive by this meadow; only we from the farm pass through occasionally.

You’re free to choose wherever you’d like to set up your campsite.

All around, there are great opportunities for walking or exploring the nearby forest.

There are also several restaurants about 2 km away in the village.

My personal recommendation is the Meiwes Adventure Park, about 2.5 km away. There’s something for everyone: 3D black-light mini-golf, SwinGolf, soccer golf, mini-golf, a great café, and a beer garden—serving everything from breakfast and homemade cakes to a varied à la carte menu.

A nice, casual welcome. It's wonderfully quiet at Michi's because it's in such a secluded spot. I'd love to come back anytime.

Hi, I was looking forward to a nice weekend. But when I arrived at the campsite around 6:30 p.m., the field hadn’t been mowed, and Michi herself advised me not to set up there. As alternatives, she offered me a dirt road in the blazing sun (it was supposed to be—and was—35 degrees, and the site had been advertised as a “shaded spot” that day) or a spot under trees infested with oak processionary moths, which could have been fatal for my dog. So neither was a particularly good option. As a result, I unfortunately had to go somewhere else, but even though that was offered to me, I wasn’t refunded the full amount of my booking in the end and still haven’t gotten all my money back. In general, the “shaded parking spot” designation is very, very lenient when it comes to this campground. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

Unfortunately, we couldn't go out to the meadow yet because the grass was still too tall. Michi went out of his way to find us an alternative despite our last-minute booking. And so we ended up with a bed in the cornfield.

Plenty of space and open surroundings. Very friendly host. Rietberg, just nearby, has a charming old town with lots of half-timbered houses and dining options: restaurants, ice cream shops, cafes, etc. The lawn is a bit bumpy.
