The site is located directly on the Elbe embankment and on the Dresden - Hamburg long-distance cycle route. The ground is a firm, water-permeable meadow.

THERE IS NO WC+ELECTRICITY, SO YOU HAVE TO BE SELF-SUFFICIENT!

Access to the site is via the well-developed wide cycle path about

500m from the Kirchstrasse.

You can see the goods and passenger ship anchor at close range.

To the south of the square is the former district and sports town of Riesa.

To the west, you can see the small town of Strehla on a hill.

There is direct access to the waterskiing area on the river.

In Zeithain there is a fire brigade museum as well as two riding stables and shopping facilities.

In Kreinitz there is the museum of the encounter on the Elbe in April 1945.

There is a stork's nest on the right-hand side of the access road to the campsite.

Deer, pheasants and other wild animals can be heard and seen in the "Gohliser Loch".

On the opposite side of the Elbe, there is a pair of ospreys on an overhead power line mast.

In the nearby forest, approx. 1000 m away on the S 88 bypass road

there is a sports field with a playground.

There is a catered sports canteen in the building.

Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Tents for family members can be pitched on the site free of charge.

There is a shady elm tree with a bench in the adjoining grounds.

The Elbe Cycle Path is also a route for residents of the neighboring villages.

Water + waste water:

Disposal of the cassette and water can be done for a symbolic Euro

in the village.
