Welcome to our spot in the heart of the countryside! 🌿🚐

Hello,

We’re offering you a small, idyllic parking spot measuring about 10 × 13 m in the middle of the countryside, next to our former fire pond. The pond itself is about 10 × 10 m.

The parking spot is conveniently located near the A30. From Exit 2 (Gildehaus / Gronau / Nordhorn), you can reach us in about 10 minutes.

💧 The Parking Spot

The former fire pond is completely fenced in and can be accessed through a gate with a combination lock. We’ll send you the access code via message once you’ve contacted us.

Important: Your camper or RV will be parked outside the fenced-in pond area.

The campsite is accessible via a paved road. Although the pavement is no longer in the best condition due to its age and the fact that the road has been out of use for some time, it’s still very drivable with a camper or RV.

Since the pond is somewhat secluded, there are unfortunately no electricity or water connections. For this reason, our campsite is also one of the most affordable in the area.

You can make yourself comfortable on the small dock by the pond, enjoy the peace and quiet, and watch our ducks as they waddle around. 🦆

🌾 Agriculture & Privacy

The surrounding fields naturally change depending on the season. After the harvest, the campsite is relatively open to view. We therefore especially recommend the period from April/May through September/October. During this time, the fields are usually under cultivation, and you’ll be right in the middle of corn, grain, or other farmland.

Our pond was cleared about two years ago and completely replanted. As a result, many of the bushes and shrubs aren’t very big yet. 🌿

However, we’re constantly working to turn the campsite into a small, beautifully overgrown oasis surrounded by greenery. The plants—just like all of us—need a little time to grow, though. 😉🌱

During harvest and planting season, you may see farm machinery operating in the surrounding fields. Field work usually doesn’t take long.

There’s also a railroad track and a composting facility about 500 m away, which you might hear from time to time.

⏰ Arrival and Departure

If the spot isn’t booked immediately after your stay, there are no set times for arrival or departure.

If the spot is booked by other campers on the same day, we ask that you vacate it by 2:00 p.m.

🍽️ Food & Excursion Tips

Nearby, you’ll find the Waldseiter Hof and the Niermann restaurant, where you can enjoy regional dishes at reasonable prices.

📚 For Bookworms & Families

We have a public bookcase at the intersection of Am Görfeld and Brünning Mensch. There’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy a cozy evening with a good book—maybe with a glass of wine by or inside your camper. 😉

You can swap, take, or keep the books for free. Right next to it is a seating area where you can browse in peace.

⚽ For soccer fans of all ages

If you’re traveling with kids: Your kids are welcome to use our soccer field. It’s open anytime and is located just about 300 m from the campsite.

Just follow Am Görfeld—you’ll find the soccer field around house number 2.

🔥 A Few Rules

We don’t have many rules here. We simply ask that you leave the site just as you found it:

Please leave the campsite clean and free of trash.

When barbecuing, be sure to keep fire hazards in mind.

Disposable grills placed directly on the grass are prohibited.

If possible, please always have some water on hand to extinguish the fire.

🏰 Bentheim Castle—A Great Place to Visit

Unfortunately, our beautiful Bentheim Castle is currently closed indefinitely due to renovation work. However, guided tours around the castle and through the castle park are available.
