Our certified organic farm is located 30 km south of Landshut, between Mühldorf am Inn and Vilsbiburg, surrounded by apple and aronia orchards. As a family-run business, we mainly produce aronia juice, apple balsamic vinegar, and dried fruit. In 2017, the farm was recognized as a certified educational farm.

July 11, 27: Farm Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our hobby is our wonderful alpacas and llamas, with whom we have a lot of fun and can forget the stress of everyday life. This isn’t just because of their big eyes and cuddly, fluffy fur—they also radiate an inner calm. Visitors can also enjoy the alpacas and llamas on guided hikes with these Andean animals. The animals’ wool is used to make knitting yarn and quilted bedding. You can then watch the animals as they graze.

Since 2022, six wallabies have also been living at the Winklhof.

The campsite is surrounded by our plantations; “The world is still in order here,” someone said recently when they saw deer leaping from the farm in broad daylight. And that’s exactly how it is—you don’t just see 22 alpacas or 21 llamas here; deer and hares are also hopping about. There are a few cats, chickens, a horse, and our Bernese Mountain Dog girls, Emmi and Wolke.

Starting in April 2024, we’ll also have Highland cattle living with us.

Winklhof Farm Store

The farm store is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday and Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Here you can buy many regional products, such as: aronia juice, apple juice, apple chips, alpaca products, apple balsamic vinegar, and honey. Everything comes from local producers or our own farm.

24-Hour Kiosk with Vending Machine

You can, of course, also purchase our Winklhof products in our small but charming kiosk, which offers: aronia juice, apple juice, apple chips, apple balsamic vinegar, honey, apple lard, sausage, ice cream, and cold drinks.

  • A really nice campsite with a clean shower and restroom. The products from the farm store are amazing, especially the different kinds of vinegar. The campsites are relatively sloped, so you’ll definitely need wheel chocks.

  • We received a very warm welcome from the senior manager; it's a lovely farm, and we'll definitely come back when we get the chance.

  • A very nice spot to relax. The grandchildren never got bored—they spent the whole day with the animals. They were especially thrilled by the lively squirrels. Beautiful meadow with a view. If you need your trailer perfectly level, you’ll need leveling chocks, but it works just fine without them too. We highly recommend the aronia-orange jelly and the Highland beef sausage from the farm store. We had a great time relaxing here, and thank you so much for the wonderful campsite.

  • The host family was very nice. It’s fun to explore the farm with all its animals. They showed us several spots where we could park. Each spot has its own advantages. We had wheel chocks, so we could park the car straight. I highly recommend that. The toilets and shower (next to the bubbling vinegar barrels 😉) were clean and in good condition. The only thing was that the dogs at the dog boarding facility on the neighboring farm occasionally broke the peace a bit. The dogs at the alpaca farm, however, were such sweet and cuddly companions. Our kids took them to their hearts right away… A lovely little spot 🙏
