Our property is located directly in the center of Mengersgereuth-Hämmern in the municipality of Frankenblick, picturesquely embedded in wooded ridges in the middle of nature, far away from noisy road traffic, but easily accessible by bus, car and the South Thuringia Railway.
On our property of a former small farm with a view of the surrounding mountain slopes there is also a spacious garden with various seating areas and barbecue facilities, which you are welcome to use.
Within walking distance of approx. 500m you will find several shops for your daily needs, a playground, a pharmacy, several doctors' surgeries, a bank and the train station.
In summer, hikes or bike tours on the numerous hiking and biking trails around the village offer you relaxation and recreation in the healthy forest air.
In winter, you will find the best conditions for extended ski hikes on 50 km of groomed ski trails. For alpine experts, the slopes in the Steinach ski arena are only about 4 km away.
In the nearby toy town of Sonneberg, you can visit the toy museum, relax in the SonneBad, feed sharks in the marine aquarium or admire the smallest and largest teddy bears in the world in the German Teddy Bear Museum.

We needed a place to spend the night when we were passing through and found it in this beautiful garden. The hosts gave us a warm welcome (even with welcome ice cream 😍) and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended and would love to come back 👍🏼

We had a very nice time on the lovingly landscaped property of Nicole. All arrangements were uncomplicated and it was answered quickly. We were very warmly received and have felt very welcome. The garden is really gorgeous and offered plenty of space for eating together, retreat and read, sunbathe and play for the children. Shopping facilities and destinations for leisure activities we have found as described. We found the Zinselhöhle nearby particularly recommendable. Especially with the temperatures getting colder in the evening, we appreciated the glass house on the premises with minibar and some games. Thank you so much for your hospitality and making this beautiful and relaxing family vacation possible!!!
