A whole lake just for you. Water that reflects the sky, over which dragonflies dance with the sun's rays and into which you can dive deep to wash away the dust of everyday life. Watch the sunset in the evening and sit by the campfire, look at the stars and breathe in nature. Get away from it all and find yourself.
The secluded property with old trees and your own 11,000 square meter lake is located in East Frisia near Leer. You can park your motorhome (up to max. 3.8 t), caravan, van, camper etc. right by the water. It is also possible to spend the night in a tent. If it is too muddy, there is a concrete parking area from which you also have a fantastic view of the lake. And then just listen to the frogs and nod at the hares and deer that occasionally come by. If you're lucky, a few storks might even drop by and you might catch a fish.
Your hostess is Vanessa. Anyone who thinks that Frisians are Nordic cool doesn't know Vanessa. She warmly invites you to have some time for yourself in the middle of nature. Once you've had enough peace and quiet by the lake, set off to discover the surrounding area. You can cycle through East Frisia to nature reserves or explore Stickhausen Castle.
In our other advertisement you will also find a small cottage by the lake. You are welcome to combine the pitch with the cottage. However, it is not the case that the pitch and the cottage are rented out at the same time. Everyone should find their peace and quiet with us. This means that if you book the pitch, the cottage will not be rented out during this time. Attention: A combination is currently not possible!

Farm shop
We have a small "self-service bus" where you can buy fresh eggs, coffee, cold drinks, regional delicacies such as jam and mustard, small souvenirs and decorative items. Depending on the season, we also offer vegetables from our self-catering garden. However, this is not a traditional farm store.

Heinz-Dieter Krakau, Ascheberg After making my reservation, I tried several times to reach them by phone, but only the voicemail answered. No callback!! Upon arrival on Friday afternoon, I was shown the way to the campsite, and was kindly told that if I had any questions, I could call! At the campsite, there was a used fire pit, and a hammock was hanging between two trees. Very nice!! I was told the farm store would be open tomorrow! The campsite had been freshly mowed. But they left the grass clippings lying around!!! Not good! On Saturday morning, my wife needed to use the restroom. There were no signs indicating where the restroom and shower were located. My attempt to ask via cell phone was unsuccessful.No one answered or called back. Not a soul in sight to ask!! The farm store was closed—no information about opening hours! Around noon, we drove home frustrated: we couldn’t check out… Not a soul in sight...!!!! By the way, the tree branches were hanging too low over the driveway—the branches scraped across the roof of the RV. For us, it was a very expensive and not at all relaxing weekend... I won’t be returning to this campground, and I won’t recommend it to anyone else either!!!
You’ll be sharing this beautiful lakeside campsite with two geese and their four adorable goslings, as well as two fluffy ducks, four chickens, and their proud rooster. The area is perfect for cycling, or you can take a quick trip to the North Sea. You can go shopping in Detern and dispose of waste at the campsite next door. We were welcomed by Vanessa’s friendly parents, who helped us right away when we realized we were out of gas. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll bring better weather with us next time.
