Hi, I'm Vanessa and I'm 39 years old. I live with my two children, my parents and our two dogs in our little paradise in the middle of East Frisia. I love being a hostess and sharing this enchanting place with people who love nature, peace and quiet as much as I do.

You’ll be sharing this beautiful lakeside campsite with two geese and their four adorable goslings, as well as two fluffy ducks, four chickens, and their proud rooster. The area is perfect for cycling, or you can take a quick trip to the North Sea. You can go shopping in Detern and dispose of waste at the campsite next door. We were welcomed by Vanessa’s friendly parents, who helped us right away when we realized we were out of gas. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll bring better weather with us next time.
Friendly hosts and an indescribable sense of peace by the beautiful lake. Here, chickens and ducks wish you good night 😍

We stayed with Vanessa at the lake and spontaneously booked for one night. We heard back quickly and were able to camp by the lake the same evening. It was fantastic! The lake and nature were simply beautiful 🤩. It's very quiet, the only thing you can hear is nature and the animals in the water. 🥰 We would love to come back!
We were warmly welcomed by Vanessa's father and the pitch is wonderful right on the lake. We had two wonderfully relaxing days with long walks and lots of peace and quiet. Fresh eggs were also brought to us. We would love to come back. Best regards Frank and Kerstin
We had a great time at this wonderful place! The location directly on its own lake is simply a dream - absolute tranquillity and great nature like something out of a picture book. Perfect for switching off, slowing down and simply clearing your head. We will definitely be back - thank you so much for this little oasis in East Frisia!
An absolute insider tip for anyone who loves peace and nature! The pitch is idyllically situated by the lake, which you have almost to yourself - ideal for relaxing and unwinding. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome straight away. The surrounding nature invites you to go on long bike rides on beautiful and well-maintained cycle paths. If you are looking for pure relaxation, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back!
The pitch on the lake was really great, as described all alone, in the middle of nature. Right by the lake. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Vanessa. But her husband showed us everything on arrival. It was a great vacation.
We were there in September 2024 and had booked the Tiny House& the pitch. Our expectations were exceeded! Beautiful location, absolute peace and quiet, fantastic atmosphere by the lake (especially in the evening). Also great hosts. Thank you very much for this wonderful time. Dorothee &Karin

Booked for friends of ours - here is their feedback: We had a very pleasant stay in Vanessa's lovingly furnished cottage, where nothing was missing. A wonderful place to get away from it all in the middle of nature and enjoy the beautiful landscape of East Frisia. A special place, a particularly nice hostess - we felt very comfortable.
Swam in the lake, enjoyed nature, super nice support! Everything was just perfect! We will be back!

You don't even know what to write.... was super nice, the lake, the place, the nature, the peace and the friendly owner of the property! Make a fire in the evening, right by the lake! Or fresh eggs from the chickens living right there! Take a look at the bus! We would love to come back!
We met a very nice hostess who took us to a beautiful, idyllic place on the lake. Thank you for 2 days of rest, Vanessa, we will surely come back!

Hello Vanessa , you we have unfortunately not met, but your dear nice mother . Thank you Miriam for everything. The place you have created for your guests is really good. The water was clean and despite days before only rain read you the place well to drive and camp. We could hang our hammock on and relax on the shore , in the evening at the fireplace , make a campfire and drive with your stand up left the lake , also for this thank you again . A super good idea is also the discarded bus, which was shunted to the self-service store around .Top The area is typical East Frisian , simply beautiful . A small deduction was's , there you can but nothing for it, depending on how the wind stands. Hear times the federal road / highway clearly , since we had bad luck on the 1st day , then we were lucky with the wind. We can recommend this place with a clear conscience. We were able to spend a wonderful weekend directly on the lake. Just switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet. It was perfect all around and we will definitely be back.

One word describes the place very well: Top! A really very, very pleasant stay! You can completely undisturbed let your soul dangle, watch wildlife, fish in the lake and just enjoy the peace and quiet. Firewood is provided sufficiently and the egg mailbox is well filled every morning, a dream 😊 We already know we will be back!

With Vanessa it is mega beautiful!!! The reception was warm and the conditions just gorgeous! To mention is also the beautiful garden of Vanessa and her family past which you drive on the way to the pitch. WC is clean and the idyll to feel!

And they still exist... these indescribably beautiful places on this earth ☀️ we were allowed to enjoy the peace and quiet and our own lake for 5 days and we did that every single second. Everyone here is super nice and friendly 🤗 such a place is unique. With campfire in the evening and view of the lake. Anyone who has been here before "must" practically fall in love! Vanessa is a very warm and absolutely helpful hostess. Her parents are also absolute heart people. 😊 if we could we would give 10 stars! Love greetings Micha & Sandra 🤗

Door open, breakfast right on the lake, sup pumped up and off on the water. How beautiful it was. Super quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature. The hostess was also super friendly. Have immediately felt comfortable with her. One hundred percent recommendation!
A dream! - EVERYTHING ... - Where to begin. We were warmly welcomed and escorted to this incredible pitch on the lake (YES!!! DIRECTLY on the lake!!!). The warm welcome and briefing, and the opportunity to stand there alone, had us hooked from the first second. On one side the lake, on the other side the far view over a huge field... and then the evenings at the campfire overlooking the lake (dear thanks for the firewood🤩): It was fantastic days with you. THANK YOU to Myrijam, Vanessa and Erwin: You are top. Carlo and Lenny, of course, too 😄 We are already looking forward to seeing you again soon! We definitely need to get 2 elephant thigh bones for the two picture perfect lap dogs by then, the old rascals! We love them! Best wishes to you lovely people and see you soon!
A magical place to dream and unwind. Everyone was so incredibly nice. Next time, more sunshine and then we stay for longer.
Beautiful lake, with firewood from the host, a fantastic dry toilet and lots of nature. Sometimes even a visit from deer and rabbits.
The hostess Vanessa is very nice and attentive. The place is as described very idyllic and above all: You are really alone! In addition, a fire bowl with free firewood - very nice. We (and our dog) have felt very comfortable.
If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. The hostess, Vanessa, is how I imagine a hostess. I will come again.
Vanessa has us super friendly and warm welcome. The pitch leaves nothing to be desired and is beautiful. We have enjoyed the vastness, the time at the lake and the pure relaxation. Definitely worth a recommendation!

Super place, nice hosts everything tip top. Our dog was also thrilled. From here made a nice bike ride towards Leer. Come again with pleasure 👍
We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back. We were given wood for the fire bowl and the toilet was shown briefly.(a really great extra) It is a beautiful spot on the lake. We were kind of just passing through but will definitely be back. Our dog also felt very comfortable there. Thanks for everything!
Beautiful place right on the water with fireplace, just wonderful! Very nice hosts, lots of privacy and super toilet. We made a nice hike along the dike to Stickhausen. Our dog also found it great. We went home completely satisfied and will be happy to come back.
We unfortunately had to cancel our stay at short notice 😞 The contact was super nice us understanding. We try in any case to come over at another time.
We really enjoyed our stay with Vanessa with our two children (6 and 3). The site is right on the lake with a great fireplace and plenty of space to romp, explore and unwind. Vanessa and her mother are super hosts. We have felt very welcome and will certainly come again 😊

Actually, you can't rate this place too well, because otherwise I might not get a place there anymore. No, it is beautiful and quiet there. If you love nature, you will like it there. Even if it was only for one evening and one night, I will definitely visit again. Vanessa is a very good hostess 👍🏻

We had a really nice time in East Frisia. Vanessa was a very good host and we felt really comfortable.
The place is very nice. With west wind you can hear a little the distant road - we still had a restful night. We especially liked the possibility of camping fire and in the morning the view of the lake at sunrise - dreamlike.
The place is beautiful, Vanessa is very sympathetic and helpful. Big plus for the usable toilet, we would not have expected at all! Two tips for those interested: ideal way to stretch a hammock between the trees and drive-up wedges can help level the uneven ground :)

Great place in the nature. We have stood directly on the lake with our tent. Vanessa has brought us extra wood to make fire. You can hear the frogs croaking and see deer and rabbits when you sit by the lake in the evening. We like to come back again :)

An absolute top recommendation from us!!! An insanely beautiful place right on the lake. We made a fire, watched the sunset and enjoyed the view over the lake in the morning while having coffee. It's certainly a notch more awesome in the warmer months (but it was absolutely top notch even in April!). The hosts are insanely nice and we can highly recommend this place :) Thank you for the great pitch!
